This hotel hasn't always had the best reviews in the past which put me off, so I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. I get the impression from reviews that it's improved a lot since being updated fairly recently. …

Room lovely and comfortable and looked as if it had been recently refurbished, it was quite small, no wardrobe but hanging space, no drawers or hairdryer and hand, hair & body wash is an all in one so recommend you bring your own.  …

Room was comfortable and fairly spacious. However our room had a leaking toilet which kept leaving puddles on the bathroom floor, so slightly annoying. We only stayed 1 night so mentioned it upon leaving. Parking is very limited so if you pay in advance be aware you might not get the space you've paid for. Location is great with shops just a couple of minutes away and lots of takeaways and convenience stores.

Great budget hotel ideally located for the centre of Canterbury. The decor is a bit tired, but the place is clean, quiet and the staff are really friendly and helpful.Parking can be at a bit of a premium and costs around £6 a day for guests. Breakfast served from half 6 with a straightforward bar and evening meals available if you're stuck.Stayed 4 nights in September and quite enjoyed it.

Great location and friendly staff. Ellis and Dave were really professional and helpful. The room was very comfortable clean and quiet at the front of the hotel. It’s very near Waitrose for last minute essentials too. This is very good value for Canterbury.

The staff are very welcoming. The room was very small, a box, so to was the bathroom. The bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets had holes in, the television kept loosing it's signal, and the outside light in hallway shown through the door hole. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel was very close to the amenities, shops, etc. It was OK for the money.

Really impressed with the service from the staff, they gave lots of helpful advice about the area and Canterbury. The location could not be better, despite being very close to the centre of this lovely city, it is very quiet. Easy walking to all the key places, especially loved walks beside the river. The hotel was friendly, very clean and any service we had - room service, drinks and food was good quality and done well. Can't ask for more. Thank you. Hope to visit again.

I stay at this Travelodge often and have to say it’s one of the best. The hospitality, dinner, breakfast and staff are excellent, nothing is too much trouble everyone is helpful and friendly. The accommodation is lovely, good night sleep and the rooms are spotless. Many Thanks to Molly, Ellis, Amanda and Alisha for our recent stay!

The staff treated us well, the breakfast and dinner were good and the location centre. My only issue was that the bath in the bathroom wasn't very clean, and I had to give it a good scrub so my youngest son, who has a shower phobia, could use it. However, without a cleaning cloth and a cleaning product, it was hard to get it clean enough to use.

Disappointing Experience at TravelodgeWe recently stayed at a Travelodge, and unfortunately the toilet didn’t flush properly, and there was an awful smell in the bathroom that made our stay quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was very low, making it difficult to freshen up. To make matters worse, the bathroom amenities were lacking—there was only one bottle labeled “hair and body wash.” I find it baffling that the same product is meant to serve as both shampoo and body wash, and the bottle was nearly empty when we arrived. When we raised these concerns with the staff, we were told that the hotel was fully booked, and they couldn’t change our room.
