I was pleasantly surprised at just how good this hotel was. My room was clean, fresh, functional and comfortable. The price was more than fair. Breakfast, tasty and plentiful. But what really made my stay special was the welcoming friendly staff. Thank you. I can highly recommend the Premier Inn on Blossom Street in York.

This is really a 4.5 star rating. The room was clean and the bed was great to sleep in. Really easy to book and checking in was flawless. The staff were nice and polite. The lack of a star (really half a star) was due to the man behind the desk when we got back from our visits around 21:30. We asked for a couple more single portions of milk to have with our tea as we had run out in our room and the shelf on the reception desk had run out as well. We asked nicely for a couple and he said they had run out. I knew this was a lie as they have loads of them to restock the rooms everyday. So we decided not to purchase breakfast in the hotel and instead went across to the Spoons pub and got a traditional breakfast for £5.99 . Never mind as it was only a tuppenny carton of milk anyway.Apart from that an excellent service and stay.

Secure entrance was 1st . Very comforting to know. Bed lovely and comfortable. Bathroom and shower excellent. Room very well laid out and comfortable. Pillows a wee bit hard for me , but that's just my opinion. …

We booked one of the Premier Plus rooms as the price was barely different to a standard room. So impressed with the size and quality of the room! …

Quiet, clean, spacious room and very friendly staff. Great shower room. We arrived late from the station, on our way to visit family, and left early and just wanted a decent night's sleep, which we got. Really quiet in the hotel. Would definitely visit again.

Overall, I had a good stay in a nice and clean room, but it was disappointing to find out that dinner service on a Friday night had finished at 20:45 due to '[it] being a quiet night and staff [going] home'. On the positive side, there was no issue to receive a refund for the meal which was good. Nevertheless, I could have never assumed that dinner at a hotel could finish at 21:00. Somehow I imagine that people might arrive slightly late so having food (even if it is a basic menu) would have been good. The other two reasons for giving a three-star rating are that there was a strange smell in my room on the first night of my stay and that some items (e.g. natural yoghurt) were not available at breakfast on a Sunday morning.

Premium plus room - not sure why this is extra cost - the only difference is an armchair and a Nespresso machine. No opening window, extractor fan in bathroom not working, and hasn’t been for a while judging by the mouldy bits.  …

Very quiet as you would expect from a Premier inn. Room tidy and clean. However, one bedside table hadn't been cleaned and still had sticky drinks ringsStaff friendly and helpfulLeaving your luggage in a safe and secure area isn't a problem whether you're checking in early or having to vacate the room and you're nit leaving until much later.Plenty to eat for breakfast which sets you up for the day nicely.Walk to city centre around 15 mins. Train station around 10 minsGreat easily accessible location

We loved our stay at the Premier Inn York Blossom St! The rooms had adequate space, were clean, and cozy. Water pressure in the shower was optimal. The location is ideal, right by the rail station from where we came in, and right by Micklegate Bar. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well; it kept us going on our tours throughout the day. Staff were very helpful as well. Would stay again if I came back to York.
