I have just enjoyed a 2 night stay here with my husband staying in one of the ensuite rooms. The room was very clean and comfortable with brilliant white sheets and duvet covers. …

I spent a couple of nights at YHA Cheddar. My room was small, but comfortable and very clean. The showers were just a few doors away and were also spotlessly clean. The hostel was run to a very high standard. …

Lovely clean hostel. Lovely staff. Comfy lounge area. Warm friendly atmosphere. Sheets were sparkling white. |The location was just a bit out of the centre of cheddar, about five minutes walk from the Tesco’s express. And easy stroll to the local pub. It was about a 10 to 15 minute stroll to tourist cheddar.

The rooms were really clean and tidy. Me and two friends shared roomNot a bad space at all, we had the continental breakfast of the morning which was good quality.Staff friendlyIt is located in a really nice place not at all far to walk to the gorgeOr into town.Car parking space in the hostel was good but at times could be tight if a lot of guests. The turning into the hostel is narrow but if lined up correctly you can get through no problemOverall it was a good stayGood value.

I stayed in the annexe across from the main building in a room without an ensuite but with a shower and toilet close by. Didn't eat the breakfast (no evening meals offered) as I don't rate YHA food at all. …

The hostel itself seemed nice. Beds clean and comfy and up to yha standards. It was disappointing to not have a sink in the room with the only place to brush your teeth being the one toilet that serves the entire floor.  …

What a great place! Really good value for a weekend away as a family. Staff were friendly, flexible and thoughtful. The cooked breakfast was delicious (my kids were over the moon with the extra sausages :). We had a private en-suite family room, with one of the bunk beds having a double bed at the bottom, which made things really comfy. The self-catering kitchen was well-maintained and kept clean with all the utensils you would need. Lots of board games to play, with spaces to sit as a family in the evening and spend some analogue time together. And fantastic walks in the Mendips close by too. Access was down a narrow lane, which we missed the first time we drove by (sat nav took us to the next road along), but easy enough after that. Car park available, and a little contained back garden, a safe space for the kids to let off some steam. We will be back.

Small yha. Has a lovely enclosed garden with things for smaller kids to play with. They offer cooked breakfast. Nice feel. About 10 mins walk to pubs. Restaurants and the gorge itself. We used this as part of a mini adventure. With a 2 day walk from woodbough and back.
