This was a solo trip for 2 nights. I checked in about 16.30, and check-in was quick and straight forward.|The hotel is old fashioned and very dated, this includes the carpets, decor, furniture, & the lift. …

I would honestly say this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed we cut our trip short and left at 6:30 in the morning would give it 0 stars if I could only good thing is it’s close to the beach.there are people smoking in their rooms, there looks like homeless people coming in and out, the room was freezing had to cuddle baby all night as he was freezing, noise was loud. There was a wet patch on our floor constantly no idea where It was coming from. When looking in trip advisor to book through booking.com it says free breakfast… when the bar and restaurant is closed down due to being shut down as trading standards said that the hygiene was so poor . The rooms were in bad condition the door to bathroom was off the rails and the handle is all broken, I cut my hand open on it trying to open the door.Only stayed the first night as we were 5 hours away from home and left as soon as we could in the morning left our key at reception because no one was there to talk to. They won’t offer a refund but honestly wouldn’t tell anyone to stay here.Room says 1 double bed and 1 single and 10m2 but it was a small room with double bed and 2 singles making it hard to put a travel cot in. So glad we bought our own they said they have one but no mattress so use blankets but baby is too small to sleep with blankets. Felt sick staying here. Says coffe/ tea machine and kettle but only had a kettle but didn’t even want to die the cups. So angry as this was our only holiday was ruined by this so called hotel… more like a homelesss shelter 🤢Also found out they house homeless and paedofiles do not take your children here.

Great location, about 10 minutes too the town, Hotel was a bit dated, apparently hasn’t come back from pre lockdown, as bar and restaurant haven’t opened up since. Having said that, the staff are very friendly, room was cleaned every day, bottles of water supplied for tea, for the price we paid, can’t really fault it.

OMG this hotel is the most disgusting, smelly hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It should be shut down.I think it’s used for immigrants or homeless people.Everything in my room was falling apart and so dirty. Room was damp and very smelly.DO NOT STAY THERE.God knows what you will take home with you.Manager was very rude.We paid for 2 nights before we even seen room. After the first night we did not want to stay for 2nd night but manager wouldn’t give our money back.DO NOT STAY HERE

Very basic but functional, needs a lot of updating from which I gather is on going . No food or bar but the rooms do have fridge & microwave , plenty of water/ tea / coffee/ milk in the room. Wardrobe in the room was a bit pointless as had to climb over bed to get to it

I've given st George hotel a 5 across the board because we enjoyed our stay. What hotel has a full size fridge and a microwave in? Not many if at all. even though on our travel down I did say there a microwave and my husband was saying all he can cook in it and we didn't use it lol. It does need updating, but there was people working outside. The smoking area/seating area is lovely. Wanted to bring the swan ornaments home lol. Private parking at the rear or you can park at front of building. Shower was hilarious cold then hot then cold and the flow not so good. So only thing I'd say is update shower. No sign "Do not disturb" so got a knock every morning. No breakfast options. But there's enough places to get food as your a 5/10 min walk from sea front. Body wash, and shampoo to use. Nice smelling, soap good larther. A lift to all floors max 2 people at a time.I definitely will stay again.

If you are reading this and thinking of booking, don’t! |We booked two rooms, the first one was terrible and the second one was worse! |Neither had any hot or even remotely warm water so showers were out. …
