So, here goes. This place 20 years ago would have been the don, but, like many businesses, refurbs that don’t have an ROI aren’t worth it. …

Lovely hotel. Got a bit of character about it. Loads of space in the bedroom. Bedroom looks nice, though bed wasn't the most comfy, it was sound for a short term stay though. There's also an iron, hairdryer and even a trouser press in the room. There's a swimming pool, gym, and jacuzzi on site. There's also a sauna and steam room, though one is currently awaiting repair. These are £4 per person to visit, but worth it!Plenty of parking. Just need to type in registration number so you don't get a parking ticket. We didn't eat food at the hotel, so I can't comment on that, but plenty of people were in the breakfast room in the morning when we walked past. The grounds look lovely, and there are fish in the water outside!

When I visited Coventry I stumbled upon the Royal Court Hotel (Reminds you of the Court of Owls from Batman). I really enjoyed my stay here, it had that old English manor vibe, the staff were professional and helpful and it had the manor hotel feel when you enter.Equipped with the swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room, made me enjoy my stay here so much more, the rooms were quaint and cosy and a huge swivel TV inside. Overall if you visit Coventry this is where you should stay, I highly recommend it.

Truly, a mixed bag. Let’s start with the good: the staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the hotel is set within lovely grounds. The bad: strong smell of dampness (everywhere), the lift experience can only be described as a rollercoaster, the gym stinks of urine, unpleasant hooligans wandering around the hotel looking like they are up to no good, shower curtain thrown on the bathroom floor…dare I go on?If you are in desperate need of a hotel - it is acceptable (only due to the friendliness of the staff). If you are looking for a pleasant stay somewhere - avoid it at all costs!!

The rooms are very tired. I moved rooms after the 2nd night there were faults with both rooms.Hotel manager/staff concentrate on weddings only and not the other hotel quests for example: no teaspoons, use dessertspoon to stir coffee and lack of crockery in the restaurant due to the weddings the days before. I stayed here 3 nights and 4 days and there were 3 weddings over the weekend. There was a sign outside the restaurant wait here to be seated, I waited 10 minutes no-one attended to me. I then walked into the restaurant and a staff member asked me for my room number and name. I could sit anywhere. There was only communication with one male white English waiter who was pleasant, polite and asked how I was. No-one else staff members spoke in the restaurant or in the hotel spoke all needed to attend a customer care course in hospitalityThe food was bland and the same apart from the carved meats served by the chef nightly. The woman head waitress in the restaurant was rude. The young waiter staff men and women just chatted amongst themselves

Staff are helpful, or at least they try. Great location. That’s where he positives stop. Really bad smell in the first room we were given, the room we ended up getting at least didn’t have the cobwebs or the smell. Shower wasn’t working properly. Asked for extra pillows 4 times and got them the next day which was laughable after being told they’d been delivered to our room 2 times and they hadn’t. Wouldn’t stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel last night as guests at a wedding. We were looked after by Tom, who was absolutely excellent, a real credit to the hotel. The catering staff were also very friendly. |The only issue we had was paying £7 for premium WiFi which didn’t work well.

Dear Royal Court Hotel Team,I wanted to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation for the wonderful stay we had at your hotel recently. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Royal Court Hotel and will definitely be looking forward to visiting again soon. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, making us feel welcome and comfortable at all times. A special mention goes to Manish, who was truly exceptional and went out of his way to assist us whenever we needed it. His dedication and professionalism made a great impression on us.The only small criticism we have is that we would have liked our rooms to be cleaned every day. However, we understand that this may be due to current policies or circumstances.Overall, while the hotel may not be a 5-star property, we found it to be very good for the price you pay. The value and service provided were commendable, and we left with fond memories of our stay.Thank you once again for your hospitality. We look forward to our next visit

The reception staff were lovely on arrival although didn't explain how everything worked to start with which lead to difficulty later (ie food allowance). The bar staff in the evening really need some cheering up or people skills. They all looked dejected and were quite grumpy at the fact they had to do paperwork for the stuff I had to order. The bar food was really poor and was expensive for how poor it was. Like the burger at £16.95 that I've had better burgers from McDonald's.The breakfast on the other hand was absolutely amazing with a great range of everything. The staff in the buffet area were polite and very quick to help. The rooms were OK but basic and very cold, even with the heater on. If you are there for longer than one night, room doesn't get cleaned. You have to go to reception to get extra, coffee/tea etc and towels, which is a touch annoying.

The room was large and clean with a large flat screen tv. The bathroom needs to be updated as cannot stand shower curtains.....so not nice. The grounds are lovely.Service at bar was very slow and food was OK but nothing spectacular. The breakfast was great. Everything cooked to perfection, plenty ofchoice. All in all not a bad place to stay.
