Excellent service. Booked in for one night. Small problem with the room which the front desk took care of immediately! Breakfast was a well stocked buffet and everything was hot and cooked well. Great variety of breads and pastries as well as cereals , fruit and porridge. Room was like others have commented ‘a bit tired’ but management has said they are renovating which in a hotel as large as this takes time. Slept well. Bed was comfortable and room had adequate heat and all the comforts of a budget hotel. Would come back again.

I am genuinely embarrassed that I selected this hotel for myself and a work colleague.Essentially everything that everyone says about the carpets, the windows, the blind in the bathroom, the dirt and grime is all true.If you need a bed for the night, crack on, stay here - however if it is for anything other than this, don’t bother, you will be disappointed.

Large hotel across the road from the Pier entrance. It still has much of its original grandeur but is a little tired. The rooms are much the same. That said, the hotel and staff were keen to keep standards as high as possible. There was always friendly service available and each night of my stay there was live entertainment in the bar. The Buffet Breakfast had a good variety of food and drinks and was fine. Parking is difficult but the hotel has its own relatively small car park at the rear at an extra charge.I thought the Burlington was very good value for money and I enjoyed my stay. I would have no reservations in book again.

With a coach party and given a room at the back with the fire escape a grimy view and little natural light. The housekeeping need to get their act together. As expected the bathroom was really dirty. Hard to reach areas had not been cleaned ever so needs to be addressed. The whole of the hotel was grimy with chipped paintwork everywhere. Others have mentioned the food and bars so I’ll leave that. Paid for a packed lunch. Crisps not as stated on the package. No chocolate bar and no juice. A snack biscuit and water with ox flavoured crisps substituted. I should have known and gone to Smiths. Overall it has spoiled my otherwise nice break in Eastbourne and surrounding area.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to the beach and pier! Service was good. The room, however, was not clean. We thought that we had booked a room with one double bed, but it had two single beds. This wasn't a huge deal for us, and we decided to just push the beds together. When we moved the bed, we noticed that the floor underneath the bed was quite gross. There were stains all over the carpet where the bed was and it had not been vacuumed (photo added). We asked the staff to vacuum it the next day, and thankfully they did.The sheets and towels were clean. Although we did not stay in an ocean view room, we were right on the corner and got some view of the ocean. Our room was weirdly placed, so we were right next to stairs and we needed to go through two doors to get to our room (other than the three doors from the elevator in the main hallway). If you are fine with a room not being very clean, it is a cheap place to stay and the location is great. The sheets and towels were clean. As mentioned in other reviews, the whole place is run down. Did not talk to the employees much, nor ate at the hotel, but the service we did experience was good and the employees were helpful.
