We were put in the Admiral Hotel next door because of my mobility issue. Don't go if you struggle with stairs. Apart from that really good value breakfast was good and served by a lovely lady, who was so helpful. …

I was in the Admiral Hotel, 143 Sussex Gardens, part of the Kingsway Park. My room was small but clean and comfortable. There is no sitting room for guests. Breakfast good - freshly cooked and brought to the table.  …

Fantastic little gem of a hotel. |We arrived early as drove up, and the gentleman on reception was so helpful and friendly. Able to park our car (an extra charge which we knew about in advance). …

Bed bugs. They have bed bugs. If it’s one room it’s in every room.I discovered this at 12am this morning while staying on their 3rd floor - room 305. I went downstairs and the guy at reception gave me a singular sheet (just a doona cover) and told me to come back tomorrow morning, I wasn’t thrilled but was willing because I needed to sleep off some jet lag. After I stripped all the sheets off of the bed I discovered 2 more alive bugs on the mattress. I went back downstairs and told reception I could not stay in that room, I then waited for roughly an hour and a half while the manager and another person were called, I was asked more than once if I could just ‘survive tonight’ in a room infested with bugs that bite. I was told multiple times they have no room available for me to move into - though I am aware they were only checking room sizes that matched my current one. To their credit they have now moved me across the street to a different hotel however I had to advocate for the move much more than is acceptable. Do not stay here.I now must find a laundromat to fry any bugs that made it onto my clothes / into my belongings because the room was so small there was nowhere to put my belongings except the floor and resting on the bed.Photos show the one I found on my bed, the 2 I found on my mattress (one of which I squashed before taking the picture) and bed bug poo stains - black spots.

Avoid! We were placed in a dodgy basement room with no signal or WiFi. They refused to change the room since we “moved the towels”. The reception guy was so odd. And they also handed us a book asking us to write down our personal details such as nationality and passport number for everyone to see. We could see everyone else’s details and I could not believe me eyes. Definitely a confidentiality breach. When I refused to write my passport number he kept asking where I’m from. So weird.Don’t even get me started on the breakfast.. only a few pieces of bread were available and cereal. The juice glasses were small as shot glasses. You had to order if you wanted cooked breakfast and the amount was so small. Everyone was hungry afterWalls so thin that if the next door people come out the whole room was shaking

I give a very bad rating, not that I stayed in this hotel...||Encountering a problem with my future reservation in September, and perhaps asking a question that they didn't like, I sent them no less than 3 emails over several days, simply …

This is not a hotel but a budget guest house. I can’t comment on larger rooms as i was travelling solo for business but I would not recommend, unless you are on a small budget. The ‘hotel’ is very dated and really just a collection of separate rooms in an old house. The walls are thin, so you can hear all the other guests. The rooms are poorly furnished and the decor is dated (think your grandma’s untouched house from 1960’s). My solo room had a “private bathroom” which just about fit that description (see photo). It was a plastic wet room with a loo and shower. I was on a budget, so had to stay here last minute but wouldn’t stay again. It is not wheelchair friendly as i couldn’t see a lift and the stairs are plentiful with narrow corridors. The only pro is it is very close to Paddington train station and Edgware Road/Marble Arch area, if that was important to you. My booking included a breakfast but I did not use this service.

I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel. The man at the reception was so very friendly and gave me lots of recommendations on what to do with my time. The hotel is located close to the Paddington Station to drive towards sightseeing areas and Hyde Park is just a 5 Minute walk away to take a beautiful walk. My room was very small but had everything i needed including a mini fridge. Of course it’s not a luxury hotel but i didn’t spend much time in it anyways since i was out exploring. :)If i come back to London i would book this hotel again and i recommend it to anyone who‘s going to London for sightseeing!

Not great. The room was dirty, and it also stunk of sewage from the drains in the bathroom. (All other rooms were booked, so it's not like we could change.)It was located on the top floor and there were a lot of very tight stairs. The bed was not good, not clean, not comfy.Random loud buzzing and whirring noises all night from inside the walls and ceiling. For the price, it was really quite appalling. But the location is very good, though it was not a relaxing stay, at all, for being away on work.

Had a lovely overnight stay. The room is a decent size with the bonus of a small balcony area. We were given very personal service and recommendations for where to eat in the local area. Super friendly and kind. Went out of their way to make us welcome. We also used the Sauna which we had by request and were able to use for as long as we liked. It was an excellent sauna with a shower just outside so we could clean up before going back to our room.Breakfast was delicious and the staff were happy to adjust the full English breakfast to suit people's likes and dislikes.
