I booked a double room with a window and got a sea view. The price was very reasonable. The room was clean and spacious, with a window that opened a little. The bathroom had a bath with shower, and a large sink. The bathroom was a little tatty but nothing major. The staff were friendly and customer service was very good. The hotel has entertainment. There is bingo and cabaret. Whilst I was there, they had. Halloween event for children.Parking is £5 a day in my opinion best paid day by day as there is no refund if you are unable to get a space. The only downside for me was that they didn't take cash so I didn't use the bar or restaurants as I had budgeted with cashThe hotel is opposite the harbour arm and close to a shop and a takeaway away. It is just a short walk to the beaches and also to the town.

The hotel is dirty, brokendown, and in need of a complete deep clean and refurbishment. The staff are uninterested. The food was awful. …

We stayed here for an event within the hotel. I booked for the event not the hotel and after reading reviews was concerned I should have stayed elsewhere and just attended the event.|Upon arrival the reception was heaving. …

Not 5* but then you are not paying for itFor the price service, rooms etc are excellentSince my original views were published, I had the dubious honour of eating in the Harbour restaurant ( Victoria closed for refurbishment ???). Not something I would do again, food choice was minimal, unappetising to look at and even worse to taste. Absolutely appealing. I would struggle to give the restaurant a single star

Their computer system was down so when we checked in they gave us a room that was already occupied, finding female clothing, shoes and phone chargers wasn’t what I was expecting. The reception manager made some changes and we were re-roomed very quickly.Other positive feedback, walking around the harbour and eating sausages and chips.

I love this place. It's completely authentic and like nowhere else in the world. I'm sure most people would not give it five stars so I won't.But if you come here you will never forget it and you'll keep on coming back like I do.The rooms are basic but the showers work and nothing is dirty. The variety show is an absolute must.If like me you are a sea swimmer then it's only a 2-minute walk to get into the water

The corridors and rooms smell like cigarettes and dirt. The room was extremely warm and with a tiny window that didn't open in full. They say they offer parking but they don't have enough spaces, so we had to pay to stay in another parking. The location is great as it is in front of the beach. If you are staying one night and arrive late it's ok but for the price you might want to go somewhere else.

My friend has been here for a number of times so I knew it would be OK. We had a two night package of bed, breakfast, dinner and hotel entertainment. I paid £120 and was great value. …

BEWARE of the parking charges! Received a parking charge notice after my stay from Parkingeye. No mention at all when checking in of paying for parking. …
