We had an overnight stay at the hotel as we was visiting family in the area. My mother had the ground floor with her two little dogs and the room was large and clean. We was upgraded to a see view but the room was a little dated. …

Not sure where to begin with this review, I hate writing bad reviews but feel I have too so others don't get ripped off .|First off I would like to say the manager who greeted us was very friendly. …

Stayed for one night as we were travelling round the south coast. Lovely clean room. Needs a bit of updating around the place. But that didn’t put us off. Lovely breakfast and great staff. Recommended. Thank you.

What a surprise. At the low cost my expectations weren't high, but I was pleasantly surprised. My single room was very clean and well appointed. Toiletries, hairdryer, plenty of tea etc.Nice breakfast in a dining room with a lovely view. Staff service was excellent, friendly and helpful. I often stay in chain budget hotels when working: this was cheaper and better.

Stayed here with a coach party for 4 days half board. Rooms serviced every day, all the staff very friendly and nothing to much trouble. Good choice at breakfast and lovely 3 course dinner every night. Had a nice refurbished bathroom. Was a really cold week but had a convector heater which kept room nice and toasty. Would definitely stay again a lovely quirky hotel.

I visited this hotel for New Year celebrations and was very disappointed. The hotel did nothing for New Year except provide s few sandwiches and cakes at just gone midnight. …

The key thing here is you get what you pay for. It’s certainly one of the cheaper establishments in such a busy tourist spot. Location is great, room size is small but acceptable. The whole building is dated and it’s such a shame nothing is done about the ample-sized terrace area or the bizarre neglected “garden” area. Both would be incredible facilities if they were made use of. Bar the one eager-to-please gentleman, the staff seemed inexperienced and not bothered. The breakfast selection is very small, but decent quality considering the price.

Room was very basic, small and tired looking. No hot water on one of the mornings and they were not very sound proof. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Would have complained but for less than 70 pounds for 2 nights B&B for 2 people I guess we got what we paid for. I wouldn't look to go back in a hurry though.
