Booked in a room for workers for a week. Upon arriving they found there is no heating. Hotel did not let us know upfront and only provided portable heaters after 24 hours and refused to refund for a rooms.Completely disgusting response and meek help. It is February and they felt it is suitable to keep guests coming in while heating is down.On the day of arrival (yesterday) I rang the reception and asked about no heating. I was advised they will bring them portable heaters this evening as whole hotel has no heating at all. This did not happened until next day 17:00 and my repeated requests.Today in the morning I was told by my workers there is no hot water either.I rang hotel and demanded a refund, so I can place team elsewhere.I was advised hot water is working.I advised back it is not.Few hours later i received answer that water is now fixed.I demanded refund again and was told since they did all above to help and resolve issue, they cannot provide refund different than 25% for first day.Hotel is so bad my team refused to go back there. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, waste of time and nerves.

I am giving this a place a 5 because of the excellent customer service I encountered here, during my long stay. Miles and Roxanne who are managing this hotel along with their attentive and polite staff have been so welcoming and really looked after their guests (me). Nice and quiet place to stay and close to the harbour. Room was cleaned regular also as and when requested. Guys you are doing a great job and just keep excelling.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. We are in Australia and accidentally booked Torquay in England instead of Melbourne. Notified the hotel within 5 minutes of error and we are refused a refund. Regardless of hotel policy, this was an error, not a change of mind and even if it was, the fact you notified them immediately should be adequate. We don't have money to spare as I am not currently in work and this was a birthday surprise gone wrong as I had tell my partner cause I have no other money for her birthday.Absolutely terrible customer service and keeping the needs of others at the forefront. I certainly would not opt to stay somewhere where the needs of others are not considered.

Stayed for 1 night, they got our room number wrong so we ended up walking into someone else’s room. Very embarrassing. And then the next working woke to find our shower not even working.Called reception and they’d said “oh yeah we know it’s already been reported!” - so what were we suppose to do?! Just not shower? The place was fully booked so I had to wait for someone to check out and then use their dirty room to have a shower.Barely any apology or explanation. I just wish they’d told us the night before so we could’ve found alternate accommodation. After emailing them the most they can offer is 15% refund. Considering we only received 50% of the facilities we paid for, we would at least expect 50% refund at the minimum. Appalling customer service.Won’t be staying at any Payman Club hotels again, and certainly would not recommend them to anyone.

Very bad first impressions. The member of staff who was helping us check in insisted that we had not paid for our stay, and even once we were able to show our booking confirmation and bank statement showing transfer of the money they were rude and it took a long time and several phone calls before any staff would believe us. I understand that system errors happen; however the initial response from staff should not be rudeness and treating us like we are trying to get away without paying. However once we got to our room it was quite satisfactory. Not a five star experience by any means but that is not what we expected. Needed a relatively cheap place to stay while my partner was recovering from surgery and attending post op appointments in a nearby hospital. The lack of room service/housekeeping was stated on the website (not sure if that is in response to reviews here that seem to be surprised by it) and was actually ideal for us as my partner needed to stay in the room without being disturbed. Room and ensuite were small and simple but clean, and bearing in mind the location close to shops, beach etc. is what you'd expect for the price.

I would not even give it 1 star.Firstly THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. It was booked by a friend for my wife and my 10th wedding anniversary. Got there and instead of a king size room etc, 2 single beds. We asked for a change of rooms and the newly appointed managers are not allowed to do it. I really feel sorry for them being employed by an Albanian company with no clue about what a hotel is! The couple there are totally gutted for us . We came home. Would of been 1st night child free in 8 years. Do not book this joke unless you don't mind a bedsit.

Not worthy of even one star, it is without question the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Bags and bags of dirty laundry in the corridors throughout our stay. Rooms are not serviced , we had 2 sachets of coffee and milk for our entire stay, no more were provided, I did call and ask for more but nothing was provided. People coming and going all night in the hotel, I mean all night into the early hours. People hanging around the hotel and because this hotel is not manned, you didn't know if they were staying in the hotel or just walked in off the street as the front door was never locked. The whole hotel smelt of weed constantly. The toilet didn't flush properly, it took several attempts before the paper flushed away. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and the seat on the toilet was loose. The fire alarm went off early on the one morning and we evacuated the hotel in our PJ's and stood in the carpark for over 30 minutes waiting for someone to tell us if it was a false alarm or if we could go back inside the building. No one came to speak to us so we just had to go back in and hope for the best. Not one member of staff was seen at any point and it basically felt like you was staying in a drug infested hostel, not a hotel. Do not stay here, its just awful.

Basic, clean, comfy beds. Lovely towels and good shower.Although small and compact twin room, very good.Could have done with a bed-side table, and even a table lamp for both beds. A few more shelves and/or hooks especially in bathroom.Couple of pictures on the blank walls would have made it even better.Would stay again, good value for money.

Despite some miscommunications before the stay, the accommodation was actually really nice and the young lad working there was pleasant too. He gave us a room with a nice view and we had a tv with Netflix which is a win in itself. We would definitely like to stay again but with a smoother payment experience this time. The rooms and building were very clean. The area was close to town centre as well and surrounded by some beautiful estates.

Rooms are small, sparsely furnished but very clean, beds and bedding are excellent quality, ideal if you just want somewhere to sleep. Check in is by phone, they give you a code to a small Keysafe where you get your key to get into the room. A member of staff who lived at the hotel was extremely helpful.
