B’s Place Guest House

I organised a last minute getaway for the family and ended up at B’s Place.I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made. The room was amazing! Everything was new and freshly decorated, and the bed and pillows were unbelievably comfortable, its one of the best nights sleep i have had.The hosts Sam, Trevor and little ones were so welcoming, they couldn’t have done anymore! The Maltesers at the side of the bed is a great touch.We had an amazing view of the sea from our room, it was to die for! The location of this place is perfect! The seafront and beach is a 1 minute walk away.All in all, it was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this to anyone! I will absolutely be visiting again.Thank you so much B’s place, see you soon.

My partner and I stayed at B's place for two nights to give us a convenient base for exploring Torbay, a spot we'd been eager to visit for some time. Finding it by road was super easy, and the check-in process was seamless. We were welcomed by an immaculate, fully stocked room and a lovely view of the harbor and pier.It's tucked away from Paignton's main beach front, so it was nice and quiet at night, yet close enough to all the restaurants that we could just walk into town. The bed was incredibly comfy, and we especially loved the soft rugs!Breakfast was a highlight, beautifully presented with a mix of savory and sweet options, plenty to keep us going until lunchtime. The family was very welcoming and gave us some great food recommendations (the seafood platter at Harbour Light was a fantastic deal)!We wished we could have stayed longer, since there was still so much to explore. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay next time!

My husband and I had an extra long weekend stay as a mini honeymoon. The guesthouse is beautifully situated on Roundham head with charming views. It's only a short distance from both Paignton and Goodrington beaches, but up and away from any noise.The room was very well appointed and catered to. The bed was comfortable with good facilities and ample room.We really enjoyed the convenience and privacy of the breakfast baskets delivered to our room. The host family are good people and did everything to make our stay wonderful, with great recommendations and knowledge on the surrounding areas.The photos are from the short walk around Roundham head, and Fairy Cove, just a few minutes away.Queer-friendly.

Our 2nd visit to Bs place and once again we were made to feel very welcome and at home immediately. Immaculate twin room with stunning views across the bay, so quiet and slept really well in super comfy beds. All the little extras and attention to detail make this such a comfortable, friendly guest house. Great location withing short walking distance of the sea front. In the mornings we could smell the warm croissants and savoury muffins delivered outside our door... Part of our delicious breakfast basket! Looking forward already to our next visit booked in 4 weeks time.

Our 3rd stay at this immaculate, welcoming, relaxing guest house. Views from our room are beautiful, so much to do and see locally. Our comfy beds and generous breakfasts set us up really well to enjoy our break. Thank you all so much for making us feel so welcome...looking forward to coming back in August.

The noise of the music and the poor karaoke style singers from the local bars very late into the evening/night. The breakfast was served at 8am (at the owners request to allow her a lie in apparently) but we found ourselves waiting around until 820am until this was delivered to our room. The breakfast was unusual for the expected continental with English meats and chocolate muffins and when the owners were notified that this was not required on the 2nd day of our stay, no monies were deducted from the price but monies added to compensate an accidental breakage of a lamp at cost value without proof of value. The room was clean and tidy but was missing essentials such as bath mat and bin. The downstairs area was accommodated by the owner and her family with no option for guests to use this. There was no smoking or vaping on the property grounds at all so my father found himself having to stand beside a busy road to enjoy his pipe and unable to use the small seated area in the front garden.In response to your reply;May I suggest you highlight on your property description that it is very likely to experience noise pollution from the local bars to enable guests to make a more informative decision before committing to booking with you. The noise heard was from the local bars of regular events not the Carnival. Had we been aware of this prior to booking, we would not have booked.I did not mention anything of the cleanliness of the rooms only that there was no bathmat nor a bin for the bedroom other than a small table top bin for used teabags etc. More of constructive criticism to help you improve your business which you should surely welcome.The breakage was reported on the morning it occurred. The monies charged for the breakage was not a price agreed with me but a price I was told I had to pay without any proof of value, acceptance or allowance on your part for accidental breakages.The breakfast was cancelled due to this being not liked and having no alternative choice. We did not expect any monies returned as understood this to be included in the price but did expect a continental breakfast as advertised not that that consisted of chocolate muffins and pasteurised yogurt that could have most definitely been kept and used for another. Offering a token value for not having the breakfast would have gone a long way in terms of customer satisfaction, again something maybe you should consider.I apologise for any stains on the bedding you say you noticed (we certainly didnt) while cleaning after our stay but again surely this should be accepted as accidental and unfortunate rather than blaming the client.

I spent two weeks at B’s place and everything has always been perfect. A lovely and kind family. A beautiful, clean and comfortable room with all the necessary that made me feel at home. Food always fresh and delicious. The best place i’ve ever stayed, made my hollyday even more amazing day by day. Thank you for everything, I hope to come back again.
