Great find. Nice little hotel with great staff and delicious food. The chef cooked me some fabulous vegan dishes - much appreciated. Perfect if you have dogs as they are very welcome and fabulous walks from the doorstep. We will definitely be going back to Mill End - soon I hope!

If only all hotels were like Mill End. A hotel that welcomes dogs rather than accepts them, providing them comfy beds, a supply of treats, towels to dry off and even a dog tag! …

Great location on Dartmoor, next to a stream and close to the lovely town of Chagford and the fabulous Castle Drogo.|Decor in hotel sitting room is dark and drab, most uninviting, as was our room. …

I popped into the hotel to ask for directions for Salmon Leaps and a lady named Zoe who worked there was so kind and helpful. I wasn't even a guest at the hotel, but she was so accommodating. I found the swimming spot via her helpful directions, which was heavenly and then went back to the hotel for a lovely coffee, which Zoe brought out into the garden for me. I will definitely be bringing my husband and doggy back here for a stay in the future.

We had an amazing cream tea there and couldn't fault it. Beautiful surroundings, lovely building and stunning food. Made to feel relaxed and welcome without being pompous. Staff were great too.
