Stayed for a 2 night break. Hotel was excellent. Good sized double room, we were 3rd floor overlooking the carpark & it was so quiet! The bathroom is exceptionally good, it looks recently refurbished. …

Rooms are good and you will sleep well. The staff are really nice (shout-out especially to Szabi who's the sweetest guy). BUT: do not pay for breakfast, go and find somewhere else - anywhere. It's the worst I have ever had in a reputable chain of hotels. The coffee machine (only one for the entire hotel - what genius made that decision?!) was broken Saturday and Sunday when the hotel was fully booked. The cooked food was cold, the bacon rock hard, the scrambled eggs cooked to oblivion. Everything ran out. The croissants were dry and chewy, the baps sugary and crumbled to bits. The orange juice was not fresh, it was like Sunny-D. The berry compote was acidic. Even the fresh fruit was tasteless. Anyone who has rated this breakfast more than 2/10 is objectively wrong, hates food and has clearly never had a decent meal in their life. Do stay, but don't have the breakfast. It's such a sad start to your day, you will regret it forever.

Good budget hotel on outskirts of city centre but not too far to walk into town or quayside. There is onsite parking which needs to be paid for via my parking space. …

We stayed here for a long weekend. Overall a decent hotel and what you would expect for a Holiday Inn Express. Unfortunately the breakfast area is far too small with many people having to stand and wait for tables to become available. …

Stayed here on Sunday paid £87 for family room plus parking is £16. Feel the hotel is well over priced for what you get. Room wasn't upto normal holiday inn standard, stained carpets, loose wall fittings, only few tv channels only 2 pillows on the bed even tho most have 2 firm 2 soft very poor for the high price you pay. Breakfast was hectic aswel breakfast room is too small for size of the hotel and there's only 1 coffee machine so your stood in a que while people trying to get past getting there breakfast. So so poor definitely wouldn't stay again my least favourite ihg I've stayed at.
