Fabulous hotel right in the heart of Barnstaple. Fantastic rooms with very comfy beds, the room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Food in restaurant was OK we had a meal deal and we think that the menu needs rethinking as it was probably too limited. Breakfast was amazing with very good quality ingredients. The staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was to much trouble. We had a great stay and would recommend to friends and family.

Nice hotel in good location. Our room was modern, well furnished and huge! Only complaint about the room was that it was too hot and we were unable to turn the radiator down or off.  …

When the price of a hotel is a little more than a taxi ride home, it’s an option definitely I’d choose again! Lovely room, location and facilities. I would recommend it to all. I did book late and received a late booking discount. A gamble that paid off.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel as part of a coach holiday with Jason Edwards Travel. The hotel is in a central location and the rooms are spacious and modern. The food was absolutely delicious and dietary requirements are well catered for. As a vegan, I thoroughly enjoyed the choices - the vegan breakfast and dark chocolate sphere for dessert at dinner were definitely highlights. A member of our group was gluten free too and his requirements were taken seriously and options provided. There were plenty of compliments on the food from other members of the group too.The staff were also friendly and helpful and I would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

Wonderful hotel ,yet only a 3 star rating? Certainly better than some 5 stars we have stayed in. Lovely rooms, beautiful dining room with excellent and alert staff. . Great food. Had a very happy 2 nights there. As parking is not too easy, check with hotel before you visit. I am disabled and they went out of their way to help me.

A golf trip over 4 days. Staff, in general, excellent. Treated with respect and politeness across the board with 2 exceptions- a barman and check-out receptionist.  …

A great hotel right in the centre of town.We only stayed here for a few nights but i found the staff really friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy and a nice touch i thought was asking guests to consider reusing their towels too reduce environmental impact. The breakfast set up was great with an array of food and drinks available. The hotels restaurant rates highly in local reviews and whilst as a group we only used it once they were able to host 12 men at short notice late in the evening and take and serve our orders with a quick turnaround. The food was great and again the staff were friendly.Parking is close to the hotel with the building situated right in the middle of town.Very reasonably priced.Good job, well done.

Stayed at this centrally located, 3 story hotel earlier this week for 2 nights whilst on cricket tour in the area. Was given a room upgrade. Good buffet style breakfast, tea/coffee and toast order taken from the table, self serve for cereal and fried breakfast or scrambled egg. Pleasant lounge area.
