This is easily now going to be our go to accomodation in Dartmouth. Opted for the balcony room, which was well worth the small extra cost, as it meant we could finish the warm evening with a bottle of rosé outside. Beautifully decorated and the owners have really thought about all the bits and pieces you might need while you're there. Really impressed. Flawless check in and check out process, with great pre-arrival info pack. Brilliantly located for mooching around Dartmouth town and the estuary. Loved it. Thank you.

Great location for the town and even better we got to park opposite at the market square as it’s free parking 24hrs between Tuesday and Friday (non market days)Room was clean and lovely and light with two sets of French doors. Lovely little balcony but could do with updating the chairs. We had one and two small stoolsBut they were unfortunately covered in seagull waste. Nice to have a small fridge to keep fresh milk, wine etc in but it makes it a bit tight to hang longer items of clothes above. We also arrived in the rain so an extra couple of hooks on the bedroom side of the bathroom door would of been handy for wet coats. We also only had one cereal bowl and tea spoons so a couple of dessert spoons would be good.

We had a lovely time, the room is in a great location near restaurant's and bars but still quiet and peaceful. The room is well equipped with two balconies one shared one private. The balconies could do with a little attention to the plants (a little over grown! )Parking is difficult but the park and ride is a saviour really easy and fun!All in all a really fantastic little stay in Dartmouth!

St Elmo’s Cottage is in a fantastic location, was very stylish and extremely clean. It was a good size for two people and had all the amenities you would need.We were slightly confused by the check in as we could choose either room 2 or 3 to stay in, but when we arrived a couple had already checked into room 3 so we didn’t need to choose after all! Also, as a note for disabled people with mobility concerns, the room is reached via a set of stone stairs and then a spiral staircase. All in all, very happy - a very comfortable stay!

Great location for a short break for me and my 3 sons. Central yet quiet. There is no parking with the property itself but the helpful guide to parking ensured we had no issues finding a suitable space very close by. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment had everything we needed for a base. The children loved their bunk beds and watching movies on the smart TV. The wifi speed was excellent and reliable (not a given in Devon!). There are lots of places to eat nearby but we also prepared a simple meal in the kitchen. Checking in was easy and the advance information very comprehensive. Thank you Lorna and team.

St Elmo Cottage is the perfect place to stay when exploring South Devon. Room is gorgeous and well equipped. More than I was hoping for or could have ever dreamed of. I did long hikes, sat in cafes explored The towns near and this little safety haven gave me perfect place to rest and relax. The location is super. Would definitely book again.

I was really surprised reading the negatives reviews as we had the most wonderful stay at St Elmo cottage. The listing is not misleading at all. It clearly states double bed and ensuite. …

Last year we stayed in room 2, it was immaculate and perfectly located, so we booked again and opted for room 1, the more expensive room with a balcony but in comparison, it was disappointing. …
