Thank you for expertly hosting a family birthday party for 30-plus. It’s a pub reborn after years of neglect and decay. And now beautifully reappointed, The Lion’s roar is very happily restored and it’s a hostelry that’s fizzing with history and hospitality in equal measure. Well worth a visit if you’re passing and don’t wish to wander off the main road. You absolutely don’t need to!

We sadly only found this great place on the last night of our holiday. We chose the chicken, leek and mustard pie. An amazing meal. The service was excellent and the owner was leading from the front. The best meal that we've had in a long time. Many thanks to all.

Another superb Sunday lunch. Never fail to impress. The beef was cooked to perfection, melted in the mouth, and the roast potatoes and all the trimmings were better than mums! Great cheeseboard to finish. Worth a visit. Probably best to book ahead as they get busy.

The hosts were really nice and friendly. Really good breakfast and dining in was also really good. The room is small but cute and it has an outdoor part if you want to drink in the garden but with a roof from the element. All in all really good. It's at 17 min from Stratford upon Avon so you need the car but still a normal distance to be travelled

What a lovely cosy place. Great location, comfortable rooms, food was excellent and we were looked after by Mark and his lovely team. Would definitely recommend to friends & family. Set on the edge of the cotswolds, a perfect base to explore both the cotswolds and Stratford Upon Avon.
