Had a lovely stay during our visit to the Cotswolds. Rooms were large enough and very comfortable. Very fitting decoration. The staff was amazing. Great breakfast as well. Would recommend to everybody. Situated in the middle of all of the beautiful towns.

Wonderful location with lovely food, drinks and comfortable rooms. We were spending the weekend to celebrate a family member’s milestone birthday over a weekend. Travelling far within the uk and internationally. One let down was they were very short staffed for a busy time of the year with all of their 15 rooms used up and large number of walk-in guests. The place was jammed but the staff were run off their feet and perhaps couldn’t deliver the service they want to the standard expected.Great to see the place is busy and it could be that “it is hard to get staff due to lack of availability” but like a lot of small towns across the country, it is important to plan ahead and secure back up staff, however difficult it may be to get into agreement.Wishing The George and team all the best.

Lovely hotel with wonderful caring staff. My partner and I stayed for 2 nights for a wedding. We ate in the restaurant on the Friday night and breakfasted both mornings. The food was delicious, and the servers dealt with our large party on Friday with ease and good grace - they were fantastic - particularly Jack who was just a star!

Nice place to come for food and drinks after a long day, food was good, tasty, and a pleasant ambiance. The service however, via Tash (only been working here for a week) was next level! Thanks Tash for going above and beyond for us to enjoy this place to eat for my birthday!

What a lovely pub hotel with comfortable beds. My room was rather tiny, but perfectly put together. The room came with complimentary water bottles, coffee maker and lovely homemade cookies. All refilled every day. The toiletries were also extremely nice. All around great stay. Although they also had some very annoying pigeons on the roof.

Appalling customer service. Stayed here with my husband last week having booked a night away for my birthday with a voucher. Despite having a booking confirmation and confirmation that we had nothing left to pay, we were told the voucher wasn't accepted and the money we paid for the booking meant nothing. We were allowed to stay if we paid again, on the proviso that we'd be refunded. We took up this offer as we had travelled a long way Manager was not around to talk to us the next day and we've yet to receive a call back about our refund. We've tried to call the pub and left a message, but still had no reply. In the end, we paid a high amount to stay in a very small room and be treated like we're an inconvenience despite the fact the whole situation has been very stressful for us and is still unresolved. Will not be returning and would not recommend this as somewhere nice to stay.
