We chose this hotel primarily for its spacious rooms, opting to stay outside the city center. The room was indeed large and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but reasonably good, and the staff was courteous and attentive.Although the hotel is a bit far from the city center, it’s easily accessible by tram. The surrounding area, particularly the Leith Shore, is very pleasant—we really enjoyed taking a quick walk there. A major bonus was being allowed to check in early, which was much appreciated after a long transatlantic flight. One downside is the parking, which we found to be overpriced at £15 per night.

This is truly a very good, but not excellent hotel. Clean and comfortable and quiet. I would definitely stay here again to save the money over staying in the city centre, especially by using HotelSlash. …

Good hotel, clean and comfortable enough. Our room was cold and although we tried many times, you can’t actually control the air con to make the room warm. …

Nice friendly staff. Very helpful with local knowledge. This hotel is on the Leith dockside with plenty of transport links into Edinburgh City centre. There is a shopping centreand the Royal Yacht Britannia opposite.Breakfast was included in the price, and it was nice and hot, and the food was replaced regularly. Late night food is available from the kitchen. We arrived back at 11pm and were still able to get a pizza to take up to our room.

A bit of a shaky check-in process this time, with a few errors relating to not reading the booking details correctly, compounded by the room cards not reading when I eventually made it upstairs after a lengthy wait for the lift. I ordered dinner and white wine to be told that there was no white wine left! Really? Very poor from a global hotel chain in the city centre of Scotland's capital city. My drinks glasses from a previous business meeting were still on the table in the bar area, 2 hours after it finished! For balance, I've stayed here a few times with no issues, but I'm disappointed today, and the staff were definitely not as welcoming as previous visits. Furthermore, why does it cost £10 per night to park in the car park if you're a resident? 🤬
