First time using a pod and it was great. |The views from the pod were spectacular. We were on a cycling weekend and the range of routes from the campsite were great. …

My family and I stayed at Kennacoil for a couple of nights before my wedding and it was one of my favourite accommodations I've ever stayed in. Everything from the location, to the quality of the cottages, to Gemma's hospitality was nothing short of excellent. The cottages are decked out with everything you could need, including coffee and milk to get you started and it was great to have full kitchens to prepare family meals. The site is very quiet and peaceful - we saw beautiful sunrises, har along the hills, the milky way and shooting stars when the night sky was clear!

Just back from a fantastic stay with friends in the Pods, stunning surroundings great facilities (great shower!) and friendly and welcoming hosts. Pods were comfortable more than enough room for two adults and a teenager. ||We were incredibly lucky with the weather, but would highly recommend it.||We will definitely be back!!

Stayed for 2 nights.Well equipped self catering cottage.Very clean with plenty of supplies.Even presented with a free bottle of wine on arrival thank-you.The free milk to get us started was even better as we really needed a brew.Fantastic location with views.Excellent WiFi and good parking.A bit off the beaten track but not to far from Dunkeld for supplies.A really nice waterfall down the road walk back up a bit steep but worth it.

Came down for a midweek break in April. We had the cottage. Sun was shining- scenery is beautiful. The welcome was very professional and the guys were more than helpful with any of our requests.Enclosed garden was great for our dog and kids. Beds were all comfy. So much to see and do roundabout that we will definitely be back.

Kennacoil is so beautiful I didn’t want to leave. The facilities are clean, Gemma & David are great, and the views are heaven. We were visited by pheasants & loved the nearby hiking. There’s a wild waterfall under the bridge that you have to drive over. And dining along the river in Dunkeld was lovely!

Kennacoil Pod - DunkeldWe traveled to Scotland in July and stayed in 9 different accommodations, as a family of four this was unanimously our least liked, bottom of the list at number 9. It was the only stay where we couldn’t check in till 4pm onwards (everywhere else was 3pm) despite it being a pod and basically just a small floor, 4 sleeping matts and a lamp.We couldn’t work out which way the sign was pointing on arrival and I ended up knocking on someone’s door to be told it’s the way we came. No-one was around to welcome us on arrival or give us our pod key. I said to hubby I bet the key is already in the pod door, we were ‘Pod 2’ so we drove up and no key. I had to ring the proprietor up to chase the key up.Everything is basic, there really is nothing of comfort. A bathroom area and a kitchen area are a walk down a hill in a shared utility area - again very basic. There is nowhere to take a walk, I’d asked about The Hermitage Walk (in an enquiry email) as I was under the impression it was close, they did say they they’d talk to me about it but they didn’t, owners of the property seemed to be having a party or gathering of people in their immediate vicinity so no time for guests, I didn’t see the owners the whole time I was there.Worst nights sleep, I will never for as long as I live stay in a pod again, we couldn’t wait to leave and enjoy the rest of our holiday (Hermitage Walk is about a 15 minutes drive away), I’ve glamped before but this was a different level of endurance. Even now we can’t laugh about it, it’s still too raw.Two stars, one for scenery though felt other pods were a bit close and one because I was unprepared for this kind of stay, my bad.

Liked: Loved the setting. The deluxe cabin was perfect for us. Close to the shared toilet and kitchen facilities.
