We had the chance to get a room there as a cancellation came through. We did not expect much as we just wanted a room not to sleep outside. The room was small with single glazed windows and a loud sheep bed, sheets and rugs. The shared bathroom was not in a good shape (shower head and tube broken, mold and not ventilation)The breakfast was expensive for just toasts and cereals. The landlord was not really friendly as we arrived while she was doing some paperwork.Overall a bite expensive for what it was but it did the job.

Terrible Guest House. We didn't book this Guest House so the room did not reflect the photos we looked at - we were placed here by the receptionist. The main things to note are the lack of cleanliness and how uncomfortable the bed was. When we brought this to the owner's attention, she told us we could leave! We were also advised she didn't have anyone available to clean the room until the day after. We were there Sun-Wed and the room wasn't cleaned once! In fact, I had to empty the bin myself and wash the cups daily. In fairness to the owner, when I queried where we were to dry our damp towels, she did stick 2 plastic hooks on the ensuite wall and on this occasion the bed was made for us. We were told we had access to a kitchen but when we tried to access this in the evening for some drinking water, it was locked. It should have been telling when the receptionist advised us against taking breakfast in the guest house. The location of this Guest House is perfect - it's not even a 5 minute walk to the centre. Sadly, this is the only positive thing I can say about it.

General state of disrepair and not great location on busy through road. No en suite but separate washroom, 1 towel for 2, shower water evacuation blocked and main toilet light didn't work. Luckily small mirror light did. …

Stayed here as it was the cheapest option in Oban and we were arriving late to catch an early ferry the next day.|After reading the reviews we weren’t sure what to expect, but it was absolutely spot on for what we needed. …

Just left this B&B and unsure what to write. The warning bells should have sounded when I phoned to book and was met with a ‘hello’...no welcome or how can I help etc. …

My wife and I stayed in room 6 and were very disappointed for the price we paid (£79.) There was no WiFi available in the room and had to go to the breakfast room. The place overall was vey run down. …

The hotel is very well located (5-min walking distance from the distillery, and 10min distances from the ferry). The rooms were very cozy and clean (there's a kettle and tea inside the room). The toilets are not en-suit, however, each room has their own private loo next to the room. Staff very friendly and willing to help. The hotel can provide breakfast for an extra 7£ fee (didn't eat there, so I don't know about the quality, probably a decent continental breakfast). There's also a lounge room to relax. 100% recommended.

At the time of writing 38 people voted this as terrible, we are making this 39.||||The place was run down and in the morning there was no hot water from the taps. The Windows had gaps and draughty. The radiators were lukewarm at best. …

Nice, thoroughly clean rooms and very comfortable bed. Gave us another room with very short notice. No breakfast due to the pandemic, but many places to eat within walking distance. Good location!
