What a cool building! Beautiful|location on Kelsengrove Park (but be aware - it’s a bit of a walk to get back over to the main part of the city, and taking Uber is difficult because of a huge amount of construction going on). …

I stayed here for three nights in June. I liked that it's a bit further out from the city centre, which meant it was quieter - and there's a lovely big park next door to walk in and several subway stations within walking distance. The staff were friendly and facilities were clean. My dorm room was on the third floor so I became well acquainted with ALL those stairs - but I liked that the creaky stairs and different rooms gave the building character. Plus it was very affordable! I'd love to stay here again!

Loved this hostel, quiet location, beautiful building and nice, comfy beds. The lounge was really great; there were multiple places outside your room to spend some quiet time in the hostel. Staff was very friendly. Free coffee with actual milk and sugar was very appreciated.I liked the system of selecting your own bed. Our room was spacious, maybe a bit hot.If you're looking for a party hostel, this is not it, which is why I liked it so much :)

Rooms did not have power by the beds meaning no charging devices overnight - unless you leave them on the floor in the room. Bathroom was alright but had puddles of dirty water on the floor from a leak somewhere. Had to walk down 3 flights of stairs for water due to not being able to drink the water in the rooms. But the beds were the most comfy I’ve ever slept in in a hostel.Nice location.

Just wasn’t impressed with the lack of plug sockets which seemed to be a running theme for many guests walking the halls, struggling to find a free or any plug socket in the common areas. It’s a bit ridiculous to have 8 people to a dorm but only a strip plug socket for 3 people to share. It makes me feel unsafe that I can’t find a suitable place to charge my phone. The mattress was uncomfortable (spring) and is due for a change. Otherwise, I appreciate the friendliness of the staff and the amount of common areas to get some down time. I don’t mind the location, but may be far for some. It’s otherwise in a peaceful setting.

Very well located hostel in a beautiful big building in the West End. We had a family room which was great for 2 adults and 2 kids. We could have done with more than one chair and plug socket, and the WiFi was slow. The social areas were great though. Really lovely hostel.

We stayed in one of the private rooms for a night and had a great experience. The building is gorgeous and kept really tidy and clean, the staff were great and the view from the room was beautiful. There are a couple of nice communal areas, with access to books, games and table tennis

Best night sleep ever. So quiet but so close to city. Free parking outside on weekends. Overlooking Kelvingrove Park and 10 minutes walk to Glasgow University. Friendly staff goes without saying: it's in Glasgow!

We booked a private room here and it delivered everything you’d expect from a hotel but at a much better price. Room is spacious but bathrooms are basic. There’s also cooking facilities, board games and a table tennis table. Lovely location in the posh part of town but a bit of a walk to the city centre.

Great place to stay. Perfect situated on top of a hill by a park, so it is a quite place. Public spaces are comfortable furnitured like living rooms. Old houses though but lovely atmosphere, old days glamour. Missed only a reading lamp & power plug at the bed.
