We have stayed at Craigellachie on many occasions over a number of years and this stay was another excellent experience. Room, service, food and drink were all of a high standard. The mainly young staff are friendly as well as being effective and efficient. Breakfast was especially good. A hearty start to the day made with quality ingredients and all at the correct temperature. Our only slight disappointment was the closure of the Quaich bar but we understand that staffing can be difficult at times. We look forward to returning soon.

Nice, traditional hotel in a great location. Lovely room, spacious, good outlook and quiet. On site restaurant offers a good selection of food for both lunch and dinner. Service for dinner during our stay varied with a growing lack of attention as the evening wore on. Breakfast service is in the hotel itself and was very good.

Great hotel in a great location. Ideal for a stopover on a tour of Scotland. Food in their restaurant and service across the whole establishment are excellent. The whisky room was selection wise extremely impressing. Only downside was that the bathroom sealant around the bathtub had black mildew around the shower side. Considering the cost for a night in that hotel that should not be.

My husband and I are all about staying at historic properties where we can - there's a more comfortable, home-like feel about them that makes us feel "at home". The Craigellachie Hotel was one of those places and we were sad our stay wasn't longer! The rooms are spacious and very comfortable - we highly recommend the property to anyone looking for lodging in the area.

It was a great whiskey experience inside the nature. The hotel's bar has a great whiskey collection, and the foods are lovely too. As a friendly advise, I prefer to enjoy the ground floor bar more. Maybe you could rearrange the opening hours of the bar by adding one more staff for your ground floor bar's service.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Craigellachie!! Overall, the service was amazing, the breakfasts were wonderful and the staff so kind and friendly. The location is beautiful and has so much to offer. Overall I would recommend others to stay here. The rooms are comfortable, but not amazing - overall I think the hotel could benefit from a decorating overhall to make this historic space really beautiful and warm. The pictures and wall hangings are very plain and abstract in the rooms and the breakfast room, with far too much white on white (white wall, white or light pictures frames with white backgrounds) - and it just doesn't work well for the immense history and stature of the building. The lounge area, bar and dining area's were much warmer.

Had dinner and a whisky tasting booked, essential to book ahead. Was disappointed upon arrival to find out from the waiter that because they were very busy (Saturday night) that they cold not accommodate our 7:30 tasting and suggested that we return at 9 P for it. We spoke with the bartender who was able to accommodate us. Food was good.

Room was freezing with window open on arrival.Mold around the seal of the bath.Radiator started to work and then packed up.Service and staff were great but overpriced and average quality food. But the highlight which has made our break is the new bartender and his effort and time dedicated to new whiskey enthusiasts.Thank you for our mystery 5th dram of your personal collection ( clynelish distillery edition )Kind regardsNeil and Rachel

The place really has a lovely home from home atmosphere and the service matches this, they really make you feel part of the family. Thanks guys, for another lovely stay and look forward to staying again soon.
