We stayed here for one night and when we went to the bar to check in there was karaoke going on in the pub and it was loud but once we went upstairs to our room we couldn't hear it at all.The room was large and the bathroom was huge but was all a bit tired. The beds were clean and comfy and we all slept well. The location is great, so close to the harbor and although no breakfast is available at the hotel there are many places within 5 minutes walk.

I can not comment on the hotel, but the bar is honking. It's old, tired, dirty, and the toilets.....I would suggest they have never been cleaned. Mind you, the pints are OK, and the locals are friendly, that is until the witching hour, then madness. The decor and lights are red, making it quite a dingy play to socialize.

His place is the worst place I have stayed in , did not know there were places like this in the year 2024 .Stinks of damp, very dated and run down , wallpaper hanging off walls in bedroom , bathroom not even worth writing about. It was cheap that’s all I can say , I did notice a skip nearby , was more inviting than this place.Don’t go by pictures on trip advisor these must be very old it’s nothing like this the name on building half missing , it’s terrible looking from outside and worse inside.

This is a very dated hotel/Inn. It is ok for one or two night stay. The staff is good and friendly, but rooms are tired and just need complete refurbishment. The bathroom is crying for repair and refurbishment, and the bed just needs replacement. The room was clean.

We stayed for 1 night. We had the room at the top of the great old world charm spiral staircase. It was large and clean. The decore is older style and clean. The bar downstairs had friendly staff and patrons.  …

Totally disgusting. Stayed here one night with my hubby on Monday 24th June booked by my employer as working in Oban on the Tuesday. The stench smell as you walk through door to go up to room which was at very top was vile. …

I love this place and it's such good value I almost want to keep it all to myself! However, as a return guest I feel I have to say something as some of the reviews are unduly harsh. It's very unfair on them 🙁It's extremely convenient in the town centre, right next to the train and ferry terminals, and does exactly as stated on the front of the building: Live music and budget accommodation! Definitely not the Ritz, and yes the decor is tired in places, but the rooms are clean as a whistle, the beds are beautifully comfortable, the staff are fun and friendly, and the pub serving ice cold beer is lively and filled with music and laughter. A night here works out cheaper than the very cheapest backpacker's AND in an area that's notoriously expensive!!On a more personal note, I left something precious behind in my room last time I stayed. Returned a month or so later to find they kept it safe for me. Honest folk providing a safe, clean, and comfy space to rest your weary bones... and for only £27 per head per night?!? Maybe I'm a bit old-fashioned but I value those qualities above everything. All in, this is a fantastic gem of a place 😊👍
