Excellent location on Princess street within easy walking to main attractions.Excellent adjoining bar where buffet breakfast is also served in the morning. Breakfast is fairly basic but excellent quality. This was the second time we have stayed here.

Incredibly well places on princes street. The staff were so incredible and went above and beyond for my friends and I. ||The room was very plush, cozy beds and a lovely shower. Nice shower products available also. …

Hotel is in a great location just a short walk from Princess Street tram station and local buses too. The street has loads of shops on it and in the side streets have loads of restaurants too. …

My partner and I have stayed at the Premier Inn many times, but during our recent stay in Princes Street Edinburgh (September 22 to September 27, Room 319) our room was not up to the usual standard. …

Pros: the view from our room was superb (see image). There are two bus stations just in front, so location is great.Cons: the windows, similarly to other Premier Inns we've been to, cannot be open. If you like air, you need to count on AC.The AC is capricious. It's turning off just like in the middle of night, so you'll wake up sweating. The showers are again the result, so it seems, of a strategic water saving plan: you get a weak trickle which cannot be called a shower.Service: the staff is young and friendly but maybe not the most professional: we left a bag of laundry to be collected and they told the laundry guy that there was nothing for him to collect... So don't count on them for complex requests.TV: I know, I'm not supposed to watch TV when I'm on vacation. But sometimes you do. And this hotel's TV is really unique: there is an average 5 seconds wait time between the moment you push a button on the remote to the moment it graciously decides to respond. It turns TV watching into a nightmare. Maybe this is just to encourage me to go out?

Great location but the room had black mold in it, the smell in the room was not good, not possible to open a window and the air conditioning could only go down to 19°c so it was too warm in the room (in October!). The wifi was really, really bad, even though we purchased the ultimate wifi. The staff was friendly but probably too few because we spent a lot of time just waiting for someone to notice us (for breakfast, dinner, bar, etc). I have stayed here before, a few years ago, and it has gotten much worse so I won't be coming again unfortunately.

Great location for exploring, right on Princess Street. Arrived early but no rooms available for early check in, able to leave our bags which was a bonus. Easy and quick check in at desk. Room was a family room with plenty space and air con. Our room was at the back overlooking an alley which was fine as not overlooked and was quiet. Did the breakfast buffet both mornings, good selection and reasonable priced.Had an issue with kettle leaking water when pouring and toilet seat got looser as trip went on, flagged with hotel at check out. Also never enough tea and milk in the room, extras at reception, but when booked in for couple of nights might be handy to have more in room than for just 1 cup of tea!

Great location, as always very clean and friendly team. We used the hotel as a base to explore Edinburgh and it is in a good location to do this. Easy to access from airport by bus or tram. …

Just spent 3 nights here. Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Location couldn't have been better. Spotless room. Only down side we arrived early and wet so asked if we could do early check in. Young man on Reception found us room which we were pleased about. We know windows do not open as we use Premier Inns regularly but we had a window we couldn't even see through. Presume there was a brick wall outside. Some sort of perspective had been put over the window. I am claustrophobic so was quite on edge when in the room. Our own fault as we should have asked for a change of room. Didn't like to has we had already asked for early check in and.had been found a room. So if any one booking there is claustrophobic like myself make sure it isn't room 115. Everything else was perfect

We stayed here for the Taylor Swift concerts a couple of months ago, and I genuinely cannot fault the experience at all. We had great service and felt it was good value for money. To start, the location was brilliant, very central, on straight tram and bus routes to the airport, the zoo, and Murrayfield Stadium, as well as being in walking distance of Edinburgh Castle and many other attractions. Loads of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs (including a few Weatherspoon's), and shops nearby too; there was also a 24-hour McDonald's nearby (for the obligatory post-concert munch), and the hotel was also right next door to a Poundland, which was very useful for picking up some last minute bits. It was very easy to find once we got to Princes Street. The room was exactly as expected: comfortable, clean and spacious, and had a nice view of the city. When we arrived, there was an information sheet with the main routes to and from Murrayfield Stadium, which was very helpful in planning our way to and from the venue, and saved us a lot of time both before and after the concert. We did not book breakfast with our room, but it was available. The hotel also has a luggage room to leave your bags until your room is ready, which was very useful! The cherry on top for us though was the service we received from the staff. From doing their best to get us checked in early so we could get ready for the concert to being on hand to recommend attractions, places to eat (Kasia was particularly helpful with this), etc., they were all so lovely and welcoming. We needed a new sheet on our bed, and as soon as we asked, they got it done for us without issue.I do have to give a special mention to one girl, I can't remember her name (it could be Lauren, but I'm not sure—she really likes Taylor Swift, and I believe she was going to all 3 concerts if it helps identify her!!), who went all out for all the Swifties staying over, giving friendship bracelets themed to each specific night, chatting about different theories and possible surprise songs, and being around the next morning for a full concert debrief. The main lobby area was decorated for the shows, as well as the lifts. I also believe she was responsible for the little goody bags that were left on the door of every room after the show, which were filled with Taylor Swift themed goodies such as stickers, keychains, scrunchies, postcards and funky sunglasses, all themed to different eras, which was such a nice surprise. That said, all the staff we encountered in the hotel, even if it was just for a minute, were so friendly and welcoming, it was easily some of the best service we've had in a hotel. Thank you to everyone! We would definitely come back here if we were to come back to Edinburgh!
