Clean room and comfy bed, the decor a bit tired in places. I was on the 8th floor so had an outstanding view of Glasgow..shame there was no seat in the room to properly enjoy it. Overall a pleasant and comfy stay

This hotel might seem a bit old-fashioned, but it’s still remarkably elegant. Compared to other hotels in the area with the same star rating, it stands out for its cleanliness, spaciousness, service, tranquility, and comfortable beds. The only downsides worth mentioning are that the TV is very outdated and the bathroom sink only has separate taps for hot and cold water, which isn’t very convenient, especially in the cold weather. Overall, my stay at this hotel was comfortable, and I felt it was a great deal.

Checked in here at roughly 2pm. Receptionist was very helpful, friendly and generally very pleasant. Such a nice lady! She also very kindly gave me the password for the wifi even though I didn’t pay for it (she did not charge or add it to the room). Rooms are a little aged but it isn’t a bad thing at all. They are by no means dirty (They are spotless) and they come with towels, an extra pillow, tea/coffee facilities. Not seeing a hairdryer anywhere which might annoy some but small things like this aren’t really an issue for me. Also the bed is comfortable (I have not slept in it properly - just lay inside of it to relax) so I doubt I will have any issues with sleeping. Don't expect 5* luxury when booking here. It is a 3* hotel. Essentially you get what you pay for. I would recommend this if you’re looking for an affordable room to rest your head for a few days. However there is one BIG con regarding the location. It is roughly 25 minutes away from the centre (especially if you plan to walk there with heavy suitcases. You are best to get the train from Queen Street and get off at Charing Cross Station if the walk isn’t for you - the kind lady at reception passed this onto me). The distance only posed as an issue when I had a large heavy case. Can’t comment on the breakfast yet but will update if and when necessary.

The rooms were extremely small, and I felt like I wasted my £90 per night. There were no provided toiletries, and the space was so cramped that it was impossible to sit and relax. I will never book here again. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for better accommodations.

Rooms were good and nothing to complaint about it. Our experience would’ve been good had it not been ruined by the lady in the reception. She just needs to understand that not everyone in the world has english names and there’s nothing to laugh about at someone’s name just because you aren’t able to pronounce it.

Good location close to everything and to the train station. No temperature regulation, quite warm. The rooms are old, but clean enough. The price is good for such a central location.

This place felt like a second home to me, as I stayed here for six months after arriving in the UK for my studies. My university had a contract with this hotel, so we stayed in standard en-suite rooms. The hotel was previously owned by Premier Inn I think, which had poor reviews, hence the overall ratings might seem low. However, since it was taken over by a new company, their service has drastically improved.I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Glasgow for a short or long-term stay. The staff is friendly (though not everyone, but it's manageable), the rooms are great in terms of size, amenities, and cleanliness, and the location is convenient (Charing Cross Station is right on the ground floor, and the city center is just a 20-minute walk).Overall, a fantastic hotel to stay at—go for it!

As a manager of another Britannia Hotel, my friend, booked a room for us at this hotel for an evening in Glasgow.Don't get me wrong, the room was standard and sufficient for us, however, it was the General Manager, Jan's appalling attitude towards my friend. Due to an error of the receptionist on shift at the time, Jan was adamant that it was our error, would not speak about the issue, only demanding an extra £138 at 7am saying the room hadn't been booked through the staff booking system properly even though it had been paid for by us. Jan persistently spoke over my friend, dismissing her and wouldn't allow her to explain the situation.Customer service at this hotel is absolutely disgusting and I certainly would not return if they offered any sort of discount due to the General Manager who still maintained a filthy attitude once THEIR mistake was confirmed, not even an apology offered!!!!Further more I left with spider bites or bed bug bites on my arms.

If I could give this hotel a zero star I would because this is where I saw the most inhuman treatment given to people. The so called Manager of this hotel was very rude to guests, very professional; going round and monitoring what people took during a buffet breakfast and would even go ahead to shout at people that they should not take beyond a certain amount. She would mount guard in the restaurant watching everyone that came to eat breakfast, shouting at children and their adult parents. It was horrible to watch. Some guests were accommodated by the council and she thought she could just treat them like they were slaves. I have written to their customer service, I hope they do something about this Manager who have no professional intelligence at all.
