We had a 3 night stay in October. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The bath made me feel like a queen! We enjoyed drinks by the fire in the sitting room in the evenings. And dinner was exceptional.

For the price I expected more. The rooms are tiny - barely enough room for your suitcase and the bathroom is the size of an RV bathroom. Beds AND pillows were rock hard. …

We booked here for 3 nights but because of the location and thus value of our accommodations, we decided to change reservations for our third night. We requested a loch view. …

Stayed here 4 nights in September. First night in the Gate House ($975/night) and next 3 nights in the family suite ($825/night). We found Seabost House to be a mixed bag. The restaurant staff was attentive and the food was superb! The patio area facing the loch is very nice, but not available for morning coffee because the weather was deemed "unpleasant" at 58F. The bar is small, has a quirky layout, and is an awkward place to hang out. The opposite of the typical Scottish Pub. I'll spare you the detail, but the rooms and service levels otherwise, fall well short of what is required of a hotel in this price range. They miss on way too many of the small things to warrant the premium price.

We stayed here for two nights in August. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had two garden rooms booked, and the one closer to the car park is a bit smaller, and not as nice. So just be aware not all the garden rooms are equal.Breakfast was really good, and staff were happy to accommodate any additional requests.Price was quite high for the rooms, but this was peak season so I understand. It's a quick drive to Portree, so you can head into town for dinner no problem.

Staff is kind and highly accomodating, but the hotel itself is very sub-par for the price. What is historical feels more dated than classic, what is new is frankly in poor taste. Food in the restaurant is not particularly good. We stayed at numerous other hotels in the Highlands this week , all comparably priced or higher, and Skeabost was the only one that disappointed. Staff running the place deserve a better facility, or prices need to be significantly adjusted to bring the value equation into line.

The outside and the common rooms are very nice. Unfortunately, the room we stayed in was tiny and stuffy (there is no air conditioning), the only air coming from two small windows, neither of which opened properly.  …

Nice location but far from any restaurants. The cozy room is very small and has no view( view of the tiny courtyard with some gardening tools) The focus of the hotel seems to be tours and groups. There are much better 4 stars hotels in the area but those tiny rooms go for a high price due to very limited availability on the island
