Beautiful place. Walking distance from the ferry. (Thank you for picking up the bags at the dock!) Almost perfect dinner menu! Breakfast was good. The entire staff is so kind! Don’t take the room over the kitchen. It’s loud and smells of food.

Lovely hotel and so close to the Abbey which was important for us. The room was basic but very clean and the bed was comfy. The breakfast was good, but would have been better if the plates had been warmer. …

What a gem of a place - I wasn't a guest but I ate in the restaurant. The menu was full of exquisite choices, but being a man of simple tastes and modest budget they combined the bits I liked from one of the starters and one of the mains and charged me the lower mains price - the result was pulled lamb with mash, carrots, delicious red cabbage, plum puree and apricot, a self selected dish just for me (ask nicely and they'll do it for you too I'm sure, maybe they'll add it to the menu!). To top it off, a member of staff ran me and my bags to my campsite at the Iona pods and back to make sure I made it before the kitchen closed - so customer service par excellence, nothing was too much trouble! Iona is a special place, and the St Columba hotel very much in keeping with this special isle, St Columba would have been proud of their kindness and hospitality to this hungry weary pilgrim! 😄

We had a marvelous visit to this gem of a hotel and island. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very professional. After returning to the hotel each day we felt like we were coming home. The organic food was delicious and well planned. We really look forward to returning!

A lovely small hotel in a very special place. The staff are so very kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble . The food is imaginative and the rooms are beautifully clean. There is space to sit and be, watching over the Sound, in the comfortable sitting room . I would recommend to anyone !

When we arrived on Iona, we were met by one of our group leaders as well as a staff member from the hotel who took our luggage for us in his van.  …

Beautiful setting on an amazing island, the perfect place to de-stress and unwind. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable even though slightly small rooms to get a good nights rest after exploring. Restaurant serves some interesting local food (I can highly recommend the venison steak, the sauce with it was amazing)

Lovely, comfortable hotel in perfect location to explore both the north end beaches and the wild Bay at the Back of the Ocean on west side off the island. Both about 30 minutes walk.||5 minutes walk from the ferry and village shops. …

Food was so-so; not great, not bad. The starter, Pulled Lamb, was good. Had Confit Duck for mains, it was as one can expect. My spouse had Sea Bass which was uninspired but not bad. Generally the food was slightly above average.Best thing was our visit to their garden the next day. That alone is worth a visit.Maybe try having the gardeners prepare the food :-)
