This place has recently been taken over, is a work in progress, but still is a great wee place to stay. Great location, great staff (Lindsey was a star), great food. …

Be wary of the food. The quality is very poor and not fresh as we discovered. We ordered Fresh haddock battered served with....... from the main menu. What we received was a frozen piece of fish similar to something you would buy from Birds Eye or Young's from the supermarket. It was pretty disgusting, an absolute rip off at £17.00 per head and NOT fresh, as stated on the menu. When asked whether everything was all right and I said the fish was not fresh. No attempt was made to put it right. The front of house didn't even know anything about the food she was serving! As locals we won't be returning. The toilets situated at the back of the restaurant were dirty with mould over the tiles and hand wash basins.

I didn't stay in the hotel but came for a family meal. Lindsey who was meeting greeting and waiting on was so so lovely. She has natural charm with guests and is an asset to the business. Food was beautiful and well presented. Nice amount of time between courses. Friendly calm and welcoming atmosphere. Thanks guys will definitely be back.

Lovely view from the hotel to the sea. Dinner & breakfast were delicious and all the staff friendly.I just did not find the room comfortable. The bedroom door is a fire door and should be kept closed, but the bathroom is not attached to the room. So, every time you went to the bathroom, you had to swing open this heavy door.Beautiful wood floor but squeaks so much that you felt guilty for walking around in the room as you don't know if other guests underneath and adjacent to your room could hear it.The coffee station was in the most awkward place as you could hardly lift the kettle up underneath the slanted beam.In all, the room layout was just not comfortable.

Had a lovely family meal here while staying locally. I liked the seating didn’t feel too cramped and spacious enough for our pram and wee one with a high chair. Staff were really friendly and nice to our toddler, even giving her a chalkboard to play with which distracted her for a good while. Food was nice and great value. Kids portion was huge too.

Treated to a birthday lunch. The staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The dining room was clean and freshly decorated as was the welcoming reception area. The Port is a brilliant place to switch off and enjoy the slower village life.

Booked the hotel and only discovered upon our arrival that breakfast wasn`t included as part of our booking....we went without.||The sockets in our room were off and power wasn`t restored until 8am next morning. …

We stayed for a night before catching the ferry home from Cairnryan! We were allocated room 18 which is in a small cottage at the side of the hotel, so we had our own front door! …

The hotel is a great location for the seafront with great views from the beer garden in the front. The rooms are small but fine for short stays. We had room ten that has a private separate bathroom on the floor below and a WC directly outside the room. Parking was very good as we were in 4 motorbikes. The staff were very friendly and the bar area was really nice. We are at the pub both nights and the food was excellent and at a really reasonable price. Beds were a little uncomfortable but not to bad. Just one minor negative was breakfast, although the quality of food was very good the service was extremely slow with only bits of food coming out at different times so you end up waiting there with half your breakfast waiting for other items to come out. Overall great little place that I would go to again.

I really could not recommend to anyone. |Port Patrick itself is a find, quirky and full of characters. …
