We stayed in one of the grand beach pods for a night and had a great time. The accommodation was very nice, and the views/location were superb. The hotel has a nice choice of food in the restaurant with many of the tables overlooking the fantastic scenery outside.Drinks in the hotel were on the pricey side, with a beer and a cider coming to £14, but this is the only negative I can think of from my short stay.

Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay but we did visit the restaurant. The staff were very kind and happy to seat us, we called 10 mins before arriving after being let down by a nearby restaurant on the night of our Elopement. Turns out this was for the best as the food served here is incredible! We ended up having a wonderful evening, gutted we didn't have room for dessert as everything I saw coming out looked fantastic too. When we mentioned it was our wedding night, the lovely staff treated us to a cocktail each. Restaurant team - you made our night, thank you for being so accommodating to us and our dog, you made our special day just that little bit more special.

The positives: a wonderful view - absolutely stunning nook right in amongst the loch and the mountains. You will only get this view if you book a “deluxe room” though… (I’ll come back to this). …

We had a beach pod which was amazing. The view was great, weather was shocking but underfloor heating in the pod made it toasty. Breakfast was wonderful . Luckily got an itison deal which made it very affordable. |Really comfortable bed and excellent shower.

Both good and bad. The views from the rooms (deluxe lake side) were amazing! The grounds are really nice and free parking. We had a great offer for our stay which included dinner (set 3 course) breakfast and our room. …

We had a great time at Onich hotel (we stayed in a pod!) the pod was great, great views, great chairs for viewing the beautiful lake and mountains and nice amenities but it is small, not a lot of room for suitcases etc. We ate dinner at the restaurant twice it was so good and had breakfast everyday. We loved the staff, particularly the manager, who works so hard and does so many jobs and is so kind and friendly and went overboard to help in any way! We also had the same hardworking and darling server. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Bedroom was very 70s with dark, worn pine furniture , orange carpets, dark tuquoise walls & grey curtains so looked very dated.  Lamp shades  were mismatched, and Shabby and walls were  damaged and scuffed. …

We reached around 1PM and had to wait for couple of hours for check in. we were hungry and the only thing we could find close-by was some average fast-food from a mobile van. …

My wife and I booked a grand luxury beach pod, and this was our first time and first stay in Scotland ever.We had...a weird experience. The grand luxury beach pod was the saving grace of our stay, very nice, very clean, great view, heated floors, a towel heater, and modern look. The sinks in the kitchen and bathroom, while visually fine, are plastic pieces of garbage, and I'm not sure why they chose something so cheap for what is otherwise a high-end room.We scheduled & paid for breakfast for each day of our stay, but unfortunately were greeted with unfortunate news that the kitchen is closed until further notice due to equipment issues. As some of you may very well know, this can really derail your itinerary as many places won't take you without a reservation, and with an already busy itinerary, it can be difficult to now find someplace and make reservations elsewhere. The next issue was POWER TOOLS being used on their restaurant patio until nearly 11pm, what they were working on I have no idea, but I couldn't believe it, this was ongoing for 2 out of our 3 night stay. Whoever is running this establishment clearly does not understand how incredibly rude that is to your guests who are trying to wind down and relax for the evening. I felt terrible for the folks who were staying in the hotel rooms right near the patio, as I could see their frustration as they went to their balconies to figure out what the heck was going on.Lastly, on the third day, upon going to check out, I hear glassware and plates clinking in the dining room, I walked in to see someone clearing the final table from breakfast service. I asked "when did you guys start serving breakfast again? And when were you going to update your existing guests?"They informed me that they had just resumed breakfast as of that morning, and that they thought they had told us, only to discover for themselves they never sent us notification. This upset my wife and I a great deal, though the gentleman we were speaking with promptly got on the phone with someone who refunded our entire breakfast package as we never were afforded the opportunity to use it.I would like to note that the staff at the Onich was always very kind when we spoke to them directly, and tried to be accommodating.Overall, we loved the Grand Luxury beach pod, but we didn't really like the Onich.

The Onich hotel is easy to reach and is on the main road. Their sign says Hotel + Pods and I believe is quite unique in this area. Our overall experience was good.We found there was parking right next to the pod which made it easier to get things from the car and put them back. The pods are nicely arranged and have a platform leading up to the entrance with a patio that overlooks the beach. You can walk up to the beach when you want as well. Since this portion is at the back of the hotel and in-front of the pods. The beach itself is short, yet full of sand and some round pebbles of all sizes. You can hear the waves next to your room and see the tides very easily. We bought snacks from the local Co-Op and enjoyed it on the patio and made the most of the view. You will mostly be looking at the lake and the mountains though as the view is incredible. The sort of view that makes you want to stay for weeks, if you are not careful. The shower has good hot water and the bathroom has a ventilation fan and a window. There is a trick to the hot water in the kitchen sink and toilet basin. You open it more and let it run so the temperature normalises for 5 seconds or more. Our check-in and check-out was quite smooth.
