This is a modern hotel set in the grounds of the Herriot Watt University. As such it is well built, noise insulated and well appointed with good air conditioning and facilities. …

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It has a very warm and friendly environment. A special shout-out to my friend Therese at the front desk, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. …

Definitely a decent and very clean place to stay. The reception was hosted by very friendly Italian lady who was swift in providing check in process and also ensured we got rooms on the same floor. …

Bright and clean. Friendly staff. Nice room, but could be a little bigger and should provide seating for two. Breakfast was fine. Parking is great. Location is convenient, especially if flying out. Newer appearance and design. Relaxing stay.

I have been a Marriott Titanium member for 9 years. I believe that hospitality is really important for guests who come to a hotel away from home, regardless of whether the guest is loyal or not, but unfortunately, I have seen that not many …

New surroundings and fresh decor. Friendly staff on arrival, clean rooms and modern. Ample parking for guests and located in a quite suburban area ideal for walks. Annoying tapping noise early in the morning. Could be house keeping or the hot water pipes. Not nice as it woke me up! Close to the airport 12 mins and shopping mall

I recently stayed at the Courtyard Edinburgh West, and overall, my experience was WAY below expectations, especially compared to other Courtyard locations in the UK.First, the room's carpet was dirty with a huge stain, which made the space feel unclean. BUT! I want to acknowledge that housekeeping did a great job with general cleaning. It seems like they are doing their best despite the condition of the carpets. Cheers to the male housekeeper on the third floor! As a Platinum member, I found the welcome gift policy a bit disappointing. Most locations offer either 500 points or a free breakfast, but this hotel offered 500 points or a £7.50 beverage credit. Since breakfast costs £10, I had to pay an additional £2.50 if I wanted breakfast, which felt a bit stingy compared to other Courtyard hotels I've stayed at.That said, I did appreciate the welcome gift from the team, which included cream soda, water, and shortbread—it was a nice touch. However, the fact that the hotel doesn't offer complimentary water is a huge disappointment. This is the first Marriott property I've stayed at that doesn't provide this basic amenity. The restaurant, unfortunately, was a complete nightmare. It was severely understaffed, and the staff seemed poorly trained. After I placed my order, someone would come by later and ask if I had ordered yet, which was very confusing. I also couldn't get another drink because no one was paying attention, or the staff were simply running around trying to keep up. I ended up having just one beer and a salad without ever receiving my main course—I got tired of waiting. Breakfast, which cost £10, had very limited options, and I had to wait over 15 minutes for eggs, as both scrambled and fried eggs were unavailable when I arrived. The lack of management is evident in the way this hotel operates.I’ve stayed here twice in the past year, and unfortunately, I won’t be back anymore. I truly want to root for this hotel—its rooms are larger compared to other Marriott properties in Edinburgh, it's new, and it offers free parking. But these issues prevent me from choosing this location again.

Located just 10 minutes from the airport with plenty of parking on the grounds. Our room was nice and everything was clean, lovely decor. Check in was easy and the everyone at the front desk were friendly. We would be happy to stay here again when flying out of EDI

Stayed here for 5 nights, very nice courtyard. Clean, modern rooms, nice staff and excellent breakfast.I really liked the location of the hotel, not too far from the city and not too close either. The bus station right outside the hotel made it easy getting into the city center. Also since the hotel is in a quieter area, I felt much more comfortable driving there for any day trips outside the city.

This hotel had a lot of really good things going for it, but I can’t give it a 5/5 because the shower water pressure was really poor! The pillows also weren’t the best. …
