Very disappointed with our stay. The room was meant to be a double bed room. But it was 2 single beds pushed together. Which ended in a poor sleep.  …

The hotel itself is full of character and lots of history. It is a Victorian property. My wife and I decided to stay in Dunblane Hydro and would highly recommend this hotel. …

Stopped at the DoubleTree as with my partner as we needed a small night away. And we were blown away. The first appearance and the drive up the drive should have come with a cool jazz soundtrack playing building up tempo as we get closer.Lots of parking.Professional staff. Who were always appearing in control of their surroundings. And maintained their cool even when dealing with awkward customers.Loved the cocktails. Loved watching them being made with flair. The decor drew imagination to make the feel the DoubleTree was timeless. With a nod to the roaring twenties, but not beholden to it.We had a great night sleep and loved the shower. However, cookies when we arrived were a nice touch. And so tasty, we decided to buy a box as we left.A bit of a disjointed review. But had a great time, already planning a return visit to explore more of what the double tree has to offer!

A stunning looking old building, perfect for using as a centre for visiting other parts of the area like Stirling - only 15 minutes drive away. The rooms are tired, the furniture a bit faded and stained. The twin beds are narrow, but when I asked for the feather bedding to be changed, it was quickly changed. The bathroom is small and the wash area is tiny and cramped. The food is tasty, the breakfast selection is varied and the quality of food is nice. The food labelling is poor with a mini muffins being labelled as over 500 calories, this wasn’t changed after I complained, what’s the point in food labelling if it’s incorrect? It degrades trust for those of us with food allergies. I’m not surprised it wasn’t changed, the receptionist’s reaction was priceless. Avoid Room 228 for two reasons, the utility cupboard is opposite and the staff will start letting that door slam shut repeatedly during the morning, so if you expecting a lie-in, forget it - especially after complaining to reception once already. Also, some kind of water outlet pipe for another room runs through the wall of room 228 and is loud enough to wake my daughter. The view of the restaurant roof also makes 228, the lowlight of this gorgeous hotel, but if you like food smells, open the window for a smelly treat. The lounge is lovely and quiet and the staff there are great. The grounds are immaculate. Parking is plentiful. The swimming pool is great, although can be hard to get a swimming lane if there’s swimming lessons on. A nice stay with some unattended niggles.

Staff seem nice but the rooms is like you are staying at a Motel 6. Tv didn’t work had to have the staff look at but was still on the fritz the rest of the night. Food was disappointing and when I tried to order room service at 9:20pm the kitchen was already closed. I didn’t see times for room service posted anywhere in the hotel or online but perhaps I missed it. Ive stayed in 4 different locations while in Scotland this past week and this one at the bottom of that list despite it’s beautiful exterior.

Wonderful historic hotel! Beautiful property, very clean, great staff and food. Would definitely recommend. Onsite plentiful parking, great location, comfortable bed. Lift, but still some stairs will have to climb. Recommend!!!!!!

First off we love the Dunblane Hydro and have visited many times in the past, but I must report. Standards and orgnisation are slipping and it is very noticeable. When I left today I felt confused rather than valued. …

Very disappointed by the bedroom, which is not in line with the usual Hilton’s standards. The room was old (carpet on the floor, bathroom, TV, …). There was almost no soundproofing as we could hear everything from the corridor or other bedrooms. Eventually, the ventilation system in the bathroom was extremely noisy and I had no shower gel.The breakfast was great and the employees very welcoming.

Great venue - perfect for our business conference. Also, the rooms were nice and big. Swimming pool & facilities were good, although they do use it for children's swimming lessons in the afternoon Restaurant served lovely food.
