Lovely big room, comfortable bed and dog friendly. Good pub meal in the evening. Breakfast a bit slow, had to wait for some food to be re-stocked. Parking was ok on the road in front of the pub. Easy access to room through door at the rear to take dog out before bedtime.

Just needed a bed for the night and I was pleasantly surprised to have a very clean and well-decorated room, in which everything worked, at a very reasonable price. The only member of staff I dealt with was helpful and friendly. lots of car parking space.

This has been our favorite hotel and dinner meal so far on our UK trip. The customer service from every person we encountered was amazing. The building is fabulous and oozing charm and quirkiness. Hot shower with great pressure. Gorgeous view over Loch Lamond. Dinner in the restaurant was delightful and they had more than one vegan option to choose from ๐Ÿ˜ Had a fabulous sleep after some huge days adventuring. If you love charming places then Tarbet Hotel will not disappoint.

Hotel has recently been renovated and is now excellent. All the staff I come to contact with, the receptionists, bar staff and waitress were very good at their jobs. The room was a good size and very clean. The breakfast was very good. A good location.

The hotel surely is very beautiful on the outside. Loved the view, with a proper car park next to it. The service upon arrival was excellent. Nothing to note there. The room is very much outdated and the bed is tiny. If you're one or two upper-size people, this bed will be too small for you. Also, there were a few cobwebs here and there and the bathroom wasn't squeaky clean. Somehow they had forgotten to give us towels, which we had to ask for at the reception. This took nearly 20 minutes to be delivered to the hotel room, which I found to be a bit long. The price was according to the status of the hotel: not too high. Would I recommend this hotel necessarily? No. Should you avoid the hotel? Definitely not. The price is right, the service is good and the rooms could be so much better with slight improvements.

Great hotel and nice location staff from reception and the bar were friendly. Our room was upgraded due to the original one being painted and not dry yet. Rooms were clean and comfortable despite the creaky floorboards and drafts in the windows.

We were in our motorhome touring Scotland and decided to give ourselves a comfort overnight stay. When we arrived our double room wasn't available so were given a room with 2 single beds, there was no hot water for our comfort shower.ย โ€ฆ

My family took me on Sunday for my 80th birthday. The staff were superb, all efficient but very welcoming. We sat at the bay window and it was a beautiful day. We all took the Sunday Roast, it was delicious, the vegetables were great too, we had cabbage, turnip, white turnip, cauliflower cheese, etc. it was a lovely meal. We live in Bearsden and weโ€™ll be back very soon. (we also had a sail in the beautiful setting. My daughter said it was better than Christmas. A perfect day out.
