Very busy on a Saturday afternoon, recommend booking a table if you are coming for food. service was a wee bit slow but it was very busy.Dog friendly in the bar and part of the restaurant (water and treats available). The small plates option on the menu was really good and well priced. No Guinness on tap but lots of other options on draft.

Bar staff preoccupied with anything and everything except serving customers!!Would do well to change their attitude to serving the public as opposed to doing anything except serving!!Other than that, good pub, decent choice of ales and eventually getting served, don't be thirsty when coming in here, you will be thirsty for some time!!

Great stay in the family room. Big room with two TVs. Really friendly team including housekeepers who came back when we were out to clean our room. Breakfast staff good fun and great option. The team were really friendly and helped us with fun things to do with the kids. Will be back.

We had a large group with kids and Fiona was exceptional in her service. She answered questions we had on the cuisine and was very efficient in taking care of us, along with other tables she was servicing around us. …

Four guys on a golf holiday arranged by Hidden Links (think Sir Nick!)|Good enough hotel, rooms good, lift to second floor, I was on three.|Clubs stored in janitors closet with sink and cleaners! Really just a bar with rooms but adequate. Would go back to Albany before Greyfriars.

A total surprise! The outside of this hotel doesn't do it justice. Our room was really comfortable, the staff generally very helpful and friendly and the food a good standard pub food. The location is also excellent being in the heart of St Andrews.

My wife and I visited St Andrews in July/2024 to play the Old Course. We were looking for reasonable accommodations at a fair price. …

Usually, only go for a meal. And really enjoyed the food. We were getting good helping of food, but on our last visit, I ordered fish and chips and noticed right away that the portions were smaller. My wife ordered a toastie, and honestly, you could have broken a window with it. Also, hardly any cheese on. This has put us off using it again.
