We recently spent a lovely relaxing couple of nights in this very homely and welcoming hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, bed linen was good but the pillows a bit too soft for us. Overall, very clean. The bathroom offered a beautiful suite with an amazing deep bath and a waterfall shower. Breakfast was good and offered a nice selection of cold and hot choices. The dinner menu is very good, and the food was delicious. We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area

Just a one night stop but all very pleasant. My room had obviously been renovated in the near past, particularly the bathroom was large with a good shower. Some of the furniture was a bit dated and could do with an update. The food was absolutely fine and all staff I met were efficient and pleasant, in sum, a good place to stay.

Popped in for lunch today & sat in the beer garden as it was lovely and sunny. The bar is also dog friendly. I had the open beef sandwich with salad , mayo & gherkins. My wife had the pesto , cheese & tomato panini. Both were delicious as were the chips. Staff were very friendly & welcoming as was the chef who had a blether outside as he picked home grown herbs.

We had lunch and dinner in the hotel restaurant and both times it was amazing. I highly recommend the steak and cheese sandwich for lunch and the lamb hot pot for dinner. Menu is great, the place is gluten and vegan friendly including GF beer. Staff was lovely and helpful too! Will come back if around!

Lovely hotel! The rooms are beautiful! The only criticism would be the deep fried breakfast - I understand it's for quickness, but if I had known beforehand I wouldn't have chosen. We would love to come back!

I have driven through Thornhill for years and never stopped for food, however this time we met family for lunch half way between our homes. Well the food was amazing! Modern, tasty and flavoursome! The staff were lovely, very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!
