This place is NOT a bed and breakfast. I booked through Expedia. When we arrived at the property no one was there to meet and greet and explain everything. A note had been left on the door.||The rooms were tiny, old and uncomfortable. …

Definitely sub- standard accommodation. We stayed one night and were desperate to leave by the following morning. Rooms are tiny, bed very uncomfortable, bed linen belonged to another era, and shower was uncontrollable.|Won’t be returning!

This guest house was very clean but that’s where the feel good factor ended. It should advertise itself as an upmarket bunkhouse. The communal area, where you prepare your own breakfast, is very tired and old fashioned.  …

They are listed as a 3-star hotel on Expedia, but according to themselves, they are a small guesthouse with strict check-in rules—you cannot check in after 7 pm. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were supposed to arrive around 1 am. We called, and they said that after 10 pm, it was impossible to check in. We had to change our trip itinerary, cancel our trip to Loch Ness, pay a higher fee for a better hotel in Loch Lomond, and travel to the Isle of Skye half a day earlier than planned. We filed a report with Expedia for a refund, which was denied by the business (according to Expedia). A place is called a hotel due to its 24/7 services; as a person who has traveled extensively throughout the United States and most of Asia, this was new to me. As someone who teaches hospitality and tourism, I very well know hotel and guesthouse operations. Their practice is not only fraudulent but also far away from basic hospitality principles, especially considering we were distressed travelers in a foreign country. I am thankful to my bank for accepting our dispute claim, which was a small relief in the face of this awful business practice. To my fellow Google Local Guides and travelers, avoid this shady business and its nasty attitude by selecting somewhere else to stay—in a REAL hotel. It is unfortunate that Expedia not only offers such products but also does nothing to advocate for your rights when dealing with such awful business practices. I would call Expedia a partner in crime in this case.I strongly recommend NOT using Aslaich’s or Expedia's service for accommodation in the Loch Ness area.

It’s not written but there is no breakfast in the Bed & Breakfast. We looked this kind of accommodation to have the breakfast before starting the day, but there is no breakfast. …

Disappointing. Was more like a hostel than a bed-and-breakfast. First, there’s no breakfast! For £70/$86 they should provide at least juices, pastries, etc. No refunds, & bathroom was across hall (no en suite).  …

Located at quiet and scenic view. Super friendly host, welcoming and clean room. Washroom is bit small for a big person as my husband is big man and found it hard to take bath but overall great value for the money. Will definitely go again and highly recommend this place if you are visiting Lochness and looking for quiet place to stay.

An absolute gem of a place. The owner couldn't do enough to make my stay any better. All my wet gear was dried off, my wet clothes were washed. My sleeping bag was repaired. Wowsers. The room was really comfortable and the bed nice and firm. The shower threw the water out and was lovely and hot. The towels were all warm and snuggly too, coming straight off the towel heater. Bliss. Thank you ever so much for a wonderful stay. Dean
