We came to the hotel for food as it’s dog friendly. The staff are lovely and friendly and they gave us water for our 2 German shepherds. The lamb was really delicious and so was the sauce. …

Room clean and furniture looked brand new but still had old fashioned feel to it. On a junction so quite noisy ,especially as windows old and not double glazed. |Evening meal was very nice and breakfast good also .|Ok for a nights stay in around that area

What a lovely experience at Mackays - a charming hotel with friendly staff and great food. Stayed here for one night as part of our tour of Scotland’s North Coast and couldn’t be happier. The rooms are a good standard and there’s a nice little bar downstairs to enjoy a drink before dinner. We brought our dog with us and they couldn’t have been more accommodating - even bringing a plate of sausages for dinner and breakfast. Special mention to Fiona for her warm welcome and hospitality. Highly recommended!

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but the dinner my wife and I had here was poor. Service was friendly and everyone seemed very nice. But the food is below standard and we returned to our motor home wishing we had cooked our own meal that night.
