A perfect restful and happy weekend of warmth and luxury. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming, attentive, and always smiling and helpful. The food was excellent. Rooms were spotlessly clean, and beautifully done with soft furnishings and comfortable chairs. Good quality toiletries in the en suite. The location is perfect - literally five minutes to the stunning beach for long walks. Golf course near by too. Perfect for couples and adult family groups. We had a beautiful stay and enjoyed it so much we have booked to visit again.

The hotel is lovely. Old country house style. The marine theme throughout was very nice. Can’t fault the staff. They were brilliant and nothing was too much. Our room had zero views but as we only stopped over that was ok. …

We stayed at three of the Highland Coast hotels including this one, the accommodation at Royal Marine was the best out of all of them, much more modern and stylish. …

Called in this hotel whilst driving to Thurso and needed to stop for something to eat. We were met by Oran, who was friendly and welcoming. He explained the menu before leaving us to choose. He was attentive but not overbearing. The food was fantastic, tasty, local and plenty of it.|Would highly recommend.

I visited this hotel for dinner. Everything was great. Fantastic food, good atmosphere, kind staff and beautiful interior. Worth mentioning is the owner’s hospitality. He always had a smile on his face and took care of me. Additionally, he played the amazing bagpipe music for us (Scottish music medley). That was an impressive experience. I only used the restaurant this time, but I would definitely like to revisit this place and stay overnight at that time.

We had been looking forward to going to the Royal Marine Hotel for sometime. It does get booked up, so book a table early. This time round we only went for a evening meal. The hotel is lovely inside and the restaurant is nicely laid out.The menu's gives a quality look and the food is very tasty with good portions and nicely presented. As we found out afterwards, it's worth getting the loyalty card if you're local as you can save 30%-50% off food and rooms. The only let down was state of the grounds outside which were very sad looking and a box hedge that was past its time and no flowers or colour to highlight the lovely 1930s building. To justify the prices the hotel chain charge, I think they need to look at the presentation from the outside

I have tried breakfast throughout many places in the UK, this one just ranks the 1st. They got everything well prepared, and used fresh ingredients. The hotel itself is also amazing, just 2mins walk to the gold court by the sea. It worth visiting again just for the breakfast.

Very nice Hotel, warm welcome from all the staff. Watch out for the Menu as 75% of what is available on offer has a surcharge on it making your meal so much more expensive

Beautiful location , small harbour village with a few local craft and knitwear shops . Beautiful walks along the beaches and in the local area . Hotel was excellent , great service and facility’s , nice personal welcome letter containing local information . Dinner was fantastic and great value . Would definitely revisit again . We took the dog and she loved the walks and beach swims . Just be aware cattle and sheep roam freely along the beach and golf course area .
