Great little Bed and Breakfast. The host was very accommodating and non-intrusive. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. The property is near a small town that has taverns and coffee shops. It is a really good base for exploring the Isle if Skye.

Edit: I've edited this review, and the stars, to highlight the attitude of the host.My initial review, 5 stars, 3 for rooms, 5 for service and 5 for location.July 2024: This Bed & Breakfast is easily accessible from the main and busy road. You don't notice the busy road once you're inside, because the B&B is in the back. The service from Sheila is just great. She's very kind and helpful. The location on Skye could be improved. You might want to consider having an accommodation a little further up the island, as most places are quite a drive from here. The breakfast is a proper breakfast and has many options. One point I think could greatly improve this B&B, is a new bed. It is quite a small bed (1.30-1.40m I think), and could use replacement as it sagged a bit through. Other than that, the water pressure was very low. If you expect to wash your long hair, you might be in a bit of a challenge. It is however very, very good value for money and for that I'd definitely recommend this B&B.I got the following reply from the host on this review. Based on the other replies to reviews, the host's husband does not handle feedback very well. I'd recommend to him to let Sheila fully run the B&B, she's lovely and very nice to guests. Being a grumpy man on Google Reviews does not help your B&B.I’m afraid your review is not accurate on a few points. The bed is a full size UK double bed and the mattress is a year old. Perhaps if you are a larger person look for a B & B with a king size bed and that also may have caused sagging. The location point is a moot point due to you booking out property. I drove on Skye for 17 years and there are hundreds of stunning beauty spots but if people choose to be lemmings and go to 5 set places on their trips to Skye that is not our fault. Water pressure is fine as no one else has mentioned it. Thanks for staying sorry you had so many issues.I'd like to respond to this:The bed may be a full size UK double bed (1.35m), that does not make it a large bed, as stated in the initial review. The mattress may be a year old, the slatted base is likely older. It's sagged through, as mentioned in the initial review. Also, a rude move to call a pregnant woman a larger person. The fact that you drove on Skye for 17 years doesn't prove a thing: if you call us lemmings, then provide proper information on where to go to your guests. That isn't planning our holiday, like you mention in other reviews, that's being a proper host, especially if you decide to respond like this afterwards. Lastly, the water pressure is very low, as mentioned in a month old review. All the feedback, positively worded, wasn't anything Sheila (or the grumpy husband) could do anything about during our stay. It is, however, information that I use to write a proper review.

Clean and new furnished rooms, great landscape around and really nice hosts. They helped us with the bus and we're very thankful for that. The breakfast was very good too.Just the shower could have a bit more power and for all travellers without car the public transport is a bit special at the weekend.

I stayed at the self-catering house which was excellent. The location was perfect for exploring Skye & nearby local shops & restaurants yet nice & quiet. The views across to Raasay are absolutely beautiful. The apartment was very clean & had absolutely everything you need. The hosts have literally thought of everything right down to lens wipes for glasses! Will definitely stay again

Really great to close to the entrance of Skye rather than in Portree which is a mess. The room, breakfast, and hosts were all wonderful. Thank you!

Great location close to the main road and nearby a town with gas/other amenities. Stunning view of the ocean sunset from our bed through large windows. Very spacious, clean and well-updated room. Breakfast was self-served in the room with lots of options. Staff was very friendly and available. Only downside was the bathroom, though just ours, was across a hall shared with other guests and the bath was out of order Highly recommend, one of the more modernly updated places we stayed and at a pretty good price.

Comfortable room with good heating, strong shower and fast wifi. Breakfast is generous with plenty of cereals, fruits with toasts served hot by the friendly owner. This is a small town with some restaurants and supermarket nearby, but personally I feel this is a good base to the Isle of Skye considering the price and access.

In spite of a couple of misunderstandings on my part. I recommend this B&B. We ended up without a car. Our host drove us to the local restaurant and assisted in getting a cab to the next accommodation.Biggest room and one of the best bathrooms on our trip of three weeks.

Had a really nice stay at Shiloh. Mary was a lovely host. The Room was Spotless. Comfy Bed and a really nice strong shower. With Coffee and Tea making facilities in the room. Also plenty of Sockets with USB ports. Everything we could want for a Continental Breakfast, Cereal, Toast, Fruit and Coffee, and even accommodated my dairyfree diet with Almond Milk and Alpro Yoghurt very thoughtful.
