On a terrible wet day, whilst travelling the Caledonian Canal, we spotted this hotel on the Loch and also that the hotel had a pontoon. We called and they agreed if we were eating there, we could Moor on their pontoon. …

We had dinner at the lodge the food was excellent. The people were friendly and gave us good suggestions. I loved the Indian food. We had an issue with our return taxi and they went above and beyond to help us. Thank you again for the great experience :-)

We didn’t stay at the hotel, but had a super meal, served by very polite and attentive staff. The restaurant has a fantastic picture window looking over Loch Lochy and the Munros behind. We’d walked them that day, so it was extra special for us.

The apartment is comfortable and has amazing views. But be warned that the only thing separating your top floor apartment from the guest rooms downstairs is a curtain. When sitting in the lounge at night you can hear everything that is going on downstairs, as if the other guests are with you in the apartment. Very strange and quite unacceptable considering we paid nearly 300 pounds for one night. While the hosts were reactive in reminding the neighbours to keep the noise down, their response to me was that they are not responsible for the noise other guests make (which in fact they could resolve by not having a curtain separating the spaces) and that if I didn’t like it I could go to the hotel next door and pay 3 times the price for the same views. In summary, avoid this listing. If you have any doubts about the hosts, read their response below.

The only negative was that we didn’t stay longer. For the quality, location and price, it is next to impossible to find a better place to stay in near to Fort William that’ll top this.Hosts were amazing from start to finish, quick to respond and gave clear details about our stay.Room was beautifully presented and the balcony overlooking the loch was the icing on the cake.A very traditional but modern accommodation, close to all the major tourist attractions such as the Nevis Range and the Glenfinnan Viaduct.A perfect stay for me and my girlfriend, one that we have very fond memories of and highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone!
