From the moment I phoned Jill on reception to book some rooms for myself and 5 colleagues, through the 5 night stay to checkout it was an excellent stay. Reception staff, bar staff, restaurant staff were all super friendly and helpful. …

I stayed for one night, having had to alter my booking beforehand, with no fuss from the hotel. Reception staff Tracy and Laura were very friendly. |The bedroom was modest but adequate for my visit. …

A surprise trip for us in order to help out our friends who had a difficult situation to deal with. All the hotel staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us all. We are all returning after Christmas and looking forward to being together again under better circumstances. A wonderful hotel. This was our 3rd stay. The hotel has a comfortable atmosphere and is always spotlessly clean everywhere due entirely to the team of hard working staff. Kingussie is a fabulous village. The shops are all nearby and the post office is a marvellous example of village life, offering everything from beautiful locally grown plants to pretty stationery and of course stamps for your postcards. There are a number of coffee shops nearby too. We only had time to try two of them, both in king street, the paper shop and also sugar bowl and we all loved them both.

Room small and dingy. Bathroom not good. Shower curtain filthy. Bit of a argument at meal time my son is autistic and didn't want to be sat round a table with people he didn't know. Manager just shrugged her shoulders as if to say so what. So we went out to eat. On the last night we had a meal ruined by a big hair in the food then her nature changed to being nice. My friend got accused of smoking in the room he was in. A letter was shoved under his door. He said he wasn't. This hotel caters for the very elderly and more resembles a car home rather then a hotel. Will use the firm again but not go to this hotel. Our driver was lovely. She was very professional.

Hygiene was a big issue with dated fixtures and fittings. Bath and shower area was full of black mould and the whole hotel had a fusty smell. |Reception staff very helpful and a credit to the hotel. …

Hotel very dated. Bedroom had stained carpet and walls. Bathroom awful, mould on tiles, flooring ripped and dirty. Breakfast very average, not much choice. The photo showing garden in front of hotel was in fact a public garden the other side of the road. Would not stay here again.
