Good value, basic room. Clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfasts were excellent. Evening meal freshly cooked and delicious, particularly the haddock and chips. Orkney gold on tap! Staff were pleasant and friendly and warmly welcomed our dogs.

We love this wee and aged hotel. It's right beside the Stromness ferry and has great food and service . Wonderful staff. The building and furnishings are old and floors are creaky but everything is functional - set expectations accordingly !

Great place to stay before or after catching the ferry to Stromness. The staff are nice and give it a local welcoming feel. The rooms are plenty adequate in size and amenities. The building is older and has charm. Parking is great as there is a lot right across the street from the hotel. Breakfast was good. Check in and out were very easy and quick. We stayed in room 8 with a harbor view, and it was surprisingly quiet inside the room with the window closed.I would stay again if we are ever back to catch the ferry.

Accommodation booked and upon arrival a warm greeting from Molly. A spacious, clean and comfortable room with a splendid view of the working port and harbour. A utilitarian locals' pub with accommodation and restaurant. …

We stopped over on our trip to Orkney, as an overnight following a very long drive. The rooms were comfortable, the service was excellent and the breakfast we had really set us up for the day ahead. Highly recommended if you are making the journey.

Very convenient for the ferry but pretty basic hotel. There are lots of stairs to climb with luggage. The rooms are clean and well equipped and the staff were friendly. …

Tasty food with a great view over the harbour of Scrabster. Excellent service. There are a lot of steps up to the restaurant so would be difficult for someone with mobility issues going up steps.

Room was large, shower was great Brekky and dinner were varied and quite good. Staff were really helpful and considerate. Heaps of parking right out front. Highly recommended.
