Very bright and vibrant decor. Beautiful pool & gardens. Joanne was very friendly & accommodating. Bed was comfy.. Room was clean & well furnished. Breakfast was fruit, cereal, hot drinks, pastries & toast.. People do come & go at all times due to the airport being so close (you can't hear the planes) so bring ear plugs and you'll be fine. This isn't the host fault.. Just the noise for a few mins of people checking in and out in the hallway.. I would stay again and would recommend.. Its in a beautiful area and very accessible to the motorway network..

MISERABLE NIGHTcame here with my family and Joanne took almost an hour opening the door and she was in the window just ignoring us then she said her phone didn't ring due to a "power cut" after she had an extremely bad odur of alcohol and behaved as if she was intoxicated and my family was in constant distress thinking she would come in the room and then says that my children harassed her which makes no logical sense. Didn't feel comfortable as she asked me if I wanted to stay or not when we had already paid. My family did not feel like they had any privacy.

I am simply astounded by just how bad this place actually is. Do not believe a single positive review, they cannot be real and trip advisor ought not to allow this place to be recommended. …

Our reservation was made by contacting the owner, I wrote how many of us there were and what we needed.I managed to book a room for 9 people, which was no problem for us.Upon arriving at the site at 4 a.m., nothing was prepared. We were waiting for additional duvets and an extra bed, the owner brought a small fold-out foam mattress for a 15-year-old boy, after explaining that the boy would not fit on this mattress because it was too short, the owner said that it was for a smaller child and that she could not help because she did not know age, there will be children, etc.Of course, this is not true because everything was explained to the owner when booking the room. This problem was solved by finding an additional double mattress.Overall, in my opinion, this house is not ready to receive guests because everything needs repairs, and certainly general cleaning. We had a room downstairs which smelled of damp, there were a lot of cobwebs, it wasn't pleasant. In the toilet on the first floor, the shower was broken and you could only bathe in the water that was set, which was too hot. The downstairs toilet was broken for some time and then it was too cold to take a shower. The breakfast offer was also not satisfactory, there was fresh milk and bread and that was it. Unfortunately, the fruit that is also provided to guests is not fresh. There is no access to the stove in the kitchen, and the dishes and pan need to be replaced because they are burnt and dirty.I believe that the owner should first renovate the ground floor and then offer the rooms for rent. It is very dangerous for children because there are a lot of various things on the countertops, useful for renovation, etc. The place has a lot of potential, but requires better care and general cleaning. The only big positive word about this place are two sweet dogs that are friendly and fun to play with. And a short distance to the train, about 20 minutes on foot.SO If you are looking for a better standard and a clean place, this is not the place.

I have stayed for a night only with my family but we enjoyed at maximum as we had the swimming pool and hot tub included. There is a huge garden with lots of barbeque areas, the owner is very friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and breakfast is not what we expected ,a bit disappointed but for a night was acceptable.

The rooms were dirty and the mattresses were old and worn so badly that you could feel the springs digging into you. The included breakfast was some pastries and bread left out the night before with a few cereal selections. The pool was dirty and the garden has no form of play stuff for children. No one was there when we showed up and we waited outside for half an hour. There were crumbs on the floor of our room and a leak in the ceiling. There are two dogs in the property that are not advertised or locked away. There is a small lock in the door which provides little protection for your rooms. Me and my family ended up leaving as the conditions were not safe or clean for us.

HORRIBLE OWNER 😡I expected a lovely visit at Joanes 'hotel' but instead we were forced to put up with tJo's bad behaviour. Upon arrival no answer at the door, We started phoning and texting in the rain for almost an hour when we found Joanne sitting inside. When she finally remembered that we were her guests she let us in. Joanne was dressed inapproprtely (60y old women in bikini) then proceeded to be ignorant towards our family, saying inappropriate comments about our disabled daughter which gave us the impression she could've been drunk. After asking us if we were going to stay or not for the hundredth time she finally gave us one room even though we had paid for two, which only had three springy double beds and one broken sofa bed.The rest of the night we read reviews on her hotel which we should've done beforehand because If we had we would've known that others shared the same experience or often far worse, with the waiting and rude owner. The rest of the night we felt worried and scared of the things Joanne was capable of doing to us.It was an unhygienic room with cobwebs everywhere.Overall I do not recommend staying at Hazelwick house .Joanne is an awfully rude lady who does not feel empathy towards her customers , I feel that she should find medical help soon for herself most importantly but also for the sake of any guests that are just expecting basic courtesy and regrettably met with an onslaught of her condescending outlandish persona.

Discusting place. Owner and property were filthy. Abusive to my 2 young children. Unmonitored Dogs biting my baby and pushing her in the pool, that weren't advertised on booking. Dog poo everywhere. Knifes, scissors, hedge trimmers and mower left abandoned and unsafe. Owner late 60s lived in a bikini (unsavoury) and doing maintenance while we were there. Owner shouting at other stayers in the middle of the night. Food left out fly ridden for 24 hours.

Dog excrement all over the garden, run down property and facilities are nothing like described. Dirty laundry stacked high on top of washing machines. …
