The place is really amazing. Walking distance you have amazing hill views … the air is fantastic. Around you find all you need.Rooms are huge … really clean, and really comfortable. We got the guest house for the weekend, and it was completely worth it.Has a fully equipped kitchenette … and an amazing terraceThe weather was a bit rainy for the terrace but in a sunny day, this would be an excellent place to have at least the morning coffeeWorth the money, and clearly a place to return to

Living locally, but not been here for a while, since new ownership. Just went for a few drinks with family.Sadly I will not be returning in a hurry. The service was dreadful. My husband and I arrived. The place was not overly busy and no one was at the bar. Lucky day, especially seeing 2 bar staff behind the bar. We picked out our drinks and waited at the bar. Staff ignored us. I went outside to grab some seats, as suggested by hubby. 10 minutes later he returned with my shandy and his larger. There was no one waiting, no deliveries, not copious glasses or dishes that needed collecting. Not sure if it was our faces or just been a busy week, but the weather and drinks were good.A couple of family members joined us as planned and the place was getting busy. It was a great atmosphere... everyone enjoying their drinks and sun.Service seemed to be a little quicker even with more people being there. My husband bought another round of drinks, only to be spoken very rudely by the female behind the bar. A mistake was made with our first order, and my husband had stopped her from continuing with the wrong order. When he ordered our last drinks with the same member of bar staff... he was asked was he sure that was what he wanted. He was a little taken aback, but smiled and said yes please thinking she was joking. She didn't raise a smile and just responded with as long as you don't change your mind this time. He was gob smacked as he hadn't changed her mind last time. Such an attitude without justification. We don't go out often, such a shame as it had been a nice afternoon otherwise.

Wow! Is all I can say... I booked for a deluxe room and to my surprise I got more like an apartment with a fridge, dining table and even a blue speaker mirror I'm the bathroom. …

Went here for a change to celebrate our anniversary. We booked in advance. Our table was tiny and overlooked by people all drinking on a middle island which felt uncomfortable when we were eating it was like being in a goldfish bowl. We asked if we could sit on a table with a comfortable seat and were told people were due to it in 20 minutes and then a reserved was placed on it. We were there for two hours nobody occupied the table in fact the dining area was quiet. The drinks are very expensive. It took a long time to be served at the bar. The food was very disappointing we chose 5 dishes to share and nachos which were soggy and just warm. The meatballs were cremated and in a cheap tomato sauce. The chicken stripes and barbecue sauce were nice. The calamari was slightly chewy. The scampi was very over done and didn't taste fresh and out of a jar tartar sauce. Garlic mushrooms were acceptable but anybody can cook garlic mushrooms. Everything was just warm. It's meant to be a notch up from pub food it's a poor second. We took photos to put on our Facebook to be honest they looked embarrassing. We would not go there again. Poor quality. Poor food. Poor table and expensive drinks.

The room was freshly renovated and spacious with almost everything needed. The mountain view was amazing. I enjoyed sitting on a window sill in the morning drinking coffee, relaxing and watching the surroundings. The hotel is located in the same building as the pub (pretty obvious), and this is the best and most popular pub within 5 km. We normally tend to explore the location and dine in different places, but it really was the best dining spot and we visited it 3 times during a 2-night stay. If you wanna stay in the room, watch telly and go to bed at 10 PM, it is not the right place (pub closes at around midnight and it tends to be noisy especially when there is live music). But it you enjoy the atmosphere it is perfect. There was a cozy yard to enjoy the drinks. Bed was comfy. The hills nearby are perfect for a hike. Overall really good value for money.

Room was basic, bed should at least be a king size for today’s traveler and not just a double. The bathroom sink could have been cleaner and there were no towels provided to be able to take a shower. …

Even though it was just a sleepover, we got three late, but we're welcome by reception, given our keys and shown to our room. The room was sorority big. We booked a double, but the bed seemed to be king-size. The pub, underneath the bedrooms seemed to be in full swing when we arrived, but you couldn't hear a thing in the bedroom. A very natural feel to the shower and toilet with an interesting sink.Slept very well and the fresh Welsh atmosphere did its job, or was it the bed? Awoke fresh and invigorated, ready for a hectic day.Would I stay here again? Yes.

Stayed the night. Very polite and friendly staff. The rooms were nice and adequate. Tea and coffee provided in the rooms. £5 Greggs voucher provided per room for breakfast which was nice of them. The remote for the tv was not working so couldn’t watch tv and there was alot of dust on top of the towel shelf that looks like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, other than that it was a pleasant stay
