Cute, cosy rooms. Very nice service! There was a wood burning stove on when we first got there, which made for a lovely environment. The car park out front was full, but there was plenty of space out back.Breakfast was very tasty! There aren't a lot of tables but they are actively working on expanding their eating area, which will be helpful. The staff/owners were very friendly.

We enjoyed 2 nights at this great hotel. A small, non-chain hotel with an old and rural feel. The room was excellent, quiet (at our request), well appointed and clean. The staff were very welcoming meeting our needs promptly - and we even had an Anniversary card in our room on arrival - as it was a special occasion. There was a problem with the shower mixer which was rectified quickly. Not sure a roadside room would have been so quiet - but we'd definitely stay here again. Thanks to the hotel team for making our stay so pleasurable :-)

This is the ideal B&B! It was a wonderfully maintained property. It was historic yet clean, nicely decorated and everything in working order. The property is beautiful and the kind of place we could have stayed for much longer. The owners and family were involved in their business and made us feel very welcome starting with the text messages before our arrival confirming when we'd arrive so they'd be prepared for us to the conversation with us at breakfast helping with things to do in the area as well as the rest of our first visit to Wales. Only wish all the places we stayed at during our visit to Wales were like this one! We highly recommend staying at this property!! So far all the sight seeing recommendations were spot on! Thanks for them and your wonderful hospitality!!

Lovely little B&B. Stayed on the way through to mid and north Wales. No bar or restaurant open whilst there due to renovations. This did not impact on our stay in any way. Very quiet and lovely size room. |Breakfast in the morning was great, plenty of food and variety.

A delightful quirky place to stay and convenient for so many places! The beds were extremely comfortable with lovely linen and although our room (Room 3) was small it was absolutely fine for a 1 night stay. The only issue was the lack of hanging space for clothes but for 1 night it's not a problem. The breakfast was gorgeous and the lady serving us (apologies as I don't know her name) very pleasant. We will definitely return

We stayed over the weekend of 10th/11th Aug. The hotel is set in lovely countryside. Received a warm welcome when we arrived. Our room (no 5) had been beautifully renovated, clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent with helpful staff who recommended various places we could stop at for Sunday dinner on our way back from a trip to Brecon. We enjoyed sitting in the garden in the evening which rounded off an excellent weekend. Would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

A beautiful old coaching inn with a great sense of atmosphere. Our room was up in the attic with very low ceilings - my wife, who is 5ft 3in kept banging her head. I am 6ft 2in and didn't - maybe I'm just more used to ducking?! The description on Google maps mentions a restaurant - there isn't one. And don't let the Inn part of the name fool you either - there's no bar. This is a straight forward B&B - a room and breakfast. The 'public' spaces the visitors may use are very generous and comfortable. There are board games to play, glasses and bottle openners are provided if you bring your own wine or beer. The location is perfect for exploring Hay-on-Wye (about 10-15 minutes by car) and the surrounding area. There is a great bar/restaurant over the road (The Old Barn) which does excellent value and quality food.
