Very poor and dirty accommodation . Facilities lacking. Proprietor disinterested. He obviously had laundry professionally laundered so towels and bed linen were clean. |Pub basic, food basic but acceptable for the price. …

Room....bed very uncomfortable and creaky, sheets, although clean, were too small and moved during night, ending with hubby sleeping on bare mattress En suite...disaster area....door didn't close, way too small, toilet seat broken. Electric sockets by bed broken. No milk for tea/coffee (landlord said 'milk goes off!'...has he not heard of small cartons of long life milk?)Bar...drinks and food very reasonably priced. Lady behind bar (from Leeds) was brilliant...funny, attentive and very professional...a real asset to the establishment.

There are pros and cons to booking somewhere last minute; just getting away was our priority for a weekend in August and wanting to be near-ish to Bala, there weren't many late options.  …

Stay well away, dirty needs updating. Food terrible, didn’t bother having breakfast, Put off with the way the place was run, Staff didn’t seem to care, Was asked if we would like to stay in The Cottage, Walked in and straight back out …

Not great, unfriendly/uncomfortable experience probably because we aren't local.Went here to eat but after walking in and seeing the state of the place, we decided to go elsewhere. I'm sure it's a great reception and service if you live locally. We wouldn't go back, and will likely try the other pub next time we visit. One upside is the views but these are a feature of the village as a whole, not just the pub.

Came here for a meal at lunchtime. The manager was very friendly and our order came fairly quickly although it was slightly confused, Chips were replaced by a baked potato as originally ordered. …
