Just had a few days at the Lion booked through Travelzoo and have to say it was excellent value. Not our first visit and won't be our last.|Lovely welcoming friendly staff, comfortable clean room with a sea view as a bonus. …

Stayed here for a weekend and couldn’t fault it. You’ll be out and about rather than spending all your time here so it’s perfect for that. The room was pretty basic but it was clean and the beds were comfier than I expected them to be. There is plenty of choice at breakfast and this was the standout part of my stay, I’d come here for breakfast everyday if I could! We didn’t have an evening meal here so I can’t comment on that. There is more than enough restaurants, takeaways and shops within walking distance if that’s what floats your boat. The only drawback was the car park at the rear of the hotel, it’s tiny and there isn’t enough spaces for the amount of rooms. We were told if there is no spaces park out the front somewhere but there was literally no spaces there either. There’s nothing they can do to improve the parking but just a heads up for people.

This hotel was perfect, we had a family room with 4 beds, a comfortable sofa, lovely sea views, tv and tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom had a walk in shower instead of climbing in to a bath to shower. …

We popped in for a Sunday lunch, and I must say, was absolutely wonderful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, made conversation with us and the children etc. The setting was really well presented with a lovely atmosphere (not too busy) . The best part was the food, it was delicious, huge portion and we were even brought out some cauliflower cheese (the kids favourite). I would absolutely recommend coming here, and if we get the chance we would definitely come back. 10/10

A quick one night stay at the Lion this time. We have stayed before and we love the place. Family room was spotless and relaxing, bathroom was compact but modern with a walk in shower. Breakfast as always was delicious. Staff welcoming and friendly. Can’t wait to return!

Great location with views in the middle of Criccieth. Friendly and obliging staff. Very clean. Beautiful garden where you can have breakfast. Good value breakfast. In the summer there's an outdoor bar which can be very noisy after midnight.

Spent 2 nights there last weekend. Warm welcome from the staff. The room was clean, the bed proved to be comfortable. The breakfast (buffet) was very good. Good choice of cereals and fruit. Plenty to choose from the breakfast buffet. Although a limited menu for bar meals, they were all value for money. The Salmon dish and Beef and Ale were served hot and were delicious. Prices were reasonable. Service was good and the staff were attentive. Unfortunately there was a golf party staying there and on Saturday night they arrived at their room at 2.30am and decided to a ding song until 3.30/4am which was rather annoying. However, all in all it was an enjoyable stay.
