Very nice hotel. Stayed her couple of times now all of which have been lovely. Good room, clean and tidy and as you'd expect. Not sure what some comments are about as the staff are always really nice and helpful. …

We have just had a lovely stay at the hotel for a surprise 50th birthday party for our daughter. I can't thank them enough for all their help in planning this and the amazing time we had at the party. They couldn't do enough for us.  …

Has seen better days. Needs more staff, a deep clean and reliable facilities. The pool was not available during the 3 days we stayed. We booked this hotel because our granddaughter loves swimming but we weren't even offered a partial refund or free breakfast. Breakfast choices were limited but the evening meal was good, despite a waitress who didn't seem to know what she was doing.

I really didn't enjoy my stay. The room stank of damp, there was a slug in the toilet, mold on the blinds... I cleaned myself the next morning with baby wipes rather than use the shower and used bottled water when brushing my teeth. Probably a bit over the top but I didn't feel comfortable here at all. Also not sure if my door locked so put my suitcase against the door

Worst hotel ever. We stayed only 2 hours. The pool was out of action and had been for 2 weeks, we'd received no information in advance about this. The room smelt of bleach. The decor has seen better days. …

We booked thru booking.com. The 2 rooms we booked were supposed to have a "garden view". This garden view consisted of a flat roof in serious disrepair from one of the rooms and a 4ft by 4ft walled courtyard from the other. No garden in sight from either room! In one of the rooms, the window frame was so rotten one of the panes was cracked and another was so close to falling out it was frankly dangerous. We also got breakfast included. Whilst this was "adequate" most days, on our last day everything was cold and there wasn't enough staff to keep everything topped up. People were complaining left right and centre. The plates were sat right next to a plate warmer that never got used. And alot of them were too dirty to eat off. There was also no proper coffee. Nor could they make a hot chocolate. The response from the staff was "only filter coffee" or a stern "No!". Even tho they appeared to have a professional coffee machine sat right on the bar! They also somehow managed to lose track of the payment we made for an extra day.. and thus decided to lock our children out of their room! This caused them alot of worry and is frankly unacceptable.Overall, this hotel is suffering from a lack of investment in repair and general upkeep / maintenance. We stayed there before about 13 years ago and our experience then was alot better. Unfortunately our experience this time will make us think twice before booking again.

We booked one night at the very last minute with a little Bichon dog. We were given a ground floor room. I haven't seen decor like it since the 70's. Dirty stained carpet, blood on the bed base and a dirty headboard, carpet was covered in black fur from the last pet, as our dog is white wool coated. The food was very poor quality and cutlery offered was from the 70's. Spa was not working. The reception and evening serving staff were lovely. It needs huge investment, updating room by room and a better food budget. It would be better to refuse clients than to offer that standard of decor and furniture as it use to be a really high standard Hotel, but it's fallen through the floor. The Owners should be ashamed of themselves.
