I love staying at the Black Boy inn. It's a home away from home for me, as I visit North Wales regularly for work and often stay there. The rooms are comfy and warm, the building has great character and the bar and restaurant are great places to spend an evening, especially if the fire is going. I often recommend it to friends and family if they're visiting the area as it's a great base from which to explore the mountains and the coastline.

This place was very popular on the day we went but staff were managing this well.We got a table for five immediately and sat in a well laid out restaurant area. There was no table service for ordering so I went to the bar and ordered both food and drinks. The end total was a little higher than I expected (£120) for the five of us, but understood why when the food arrived.Probably one of the best meals out that I’ve eaten. It arrived after a very short wait and was well cooked, tasty and portioned well. The staff were courteous and efficient throughout and I had no complaints at all.Great atmosphere and service.I would recommend a visit to anyone visiting Caernarfon.

The staff were lovely. My daughter was petrified of the wasps as it was sunny. We sat inside and the staff/servers were amazing and calmed her. Food was amazing. The soup was delicious, and the welsh pie was amazing. Would definitely go back. Dogs are welcome but only outside. I did order some meat for the dog and it was generous portion and went down quickly 😅.Thankyou for making our dining experience a nice one.

All good except the heating needed to be put on as the weather had turned cold, especially in the restaurant. There was an electric heater in the room , which did help.Food and service really outstanding.Car park was tiny, but there were other car parks around. Overall, I would recommend.

Staff were lovely, couldn’t help enough, very informative and went out their way to talk to us. The room was great, huge with an amazing bath and large bed - spotless too! Nice location within the ‘castle walls’ close by to eateries, bars and shops. Had a short but sweet stay and would definitely go back & recommend.

We celebrated a wedding anniversary here with a 3 night stay recently. It is hard ti fault this hotel, rooms are well equipped and comfortable. Food and service excellent both breakfast and dinner. We also loved the location just inside the castle walls with convenient E charging in the car park adjacent to the hotel. A great experience, thank you!

Went for an evening meal. Parking nearby was not easy as the only parking that the Inn provides is for residents. However once inside the Inn is warm and welcoming. It was very busy but we received good service and our food was delivered quickly (Despite the warning on the menu of a 40 - 75 minute wait)The menu suggested a convoluted way of ordering by scanning a QR code, Logging into their WiFi, setting up an account, paying in advance etc however we just gave our order to the waitress and paid at the end like we do in other restaurants, and they were fine with this. The food was pretty good and very large portions. We weren't sure what "Scrappy Chips" were but it turns out its the chips you normally find at the end of a bag that you don't bother eating. That aside we enjoyed the meal, found the prices reasonable and the staff friendly.

Went for a meal last Thurs afternoon. Wasn't too busy so got a table easily. There were 3 of us in our group and we all fell in love with the place. The staff were really friendly. We had a trainee waiting our table and he was fantastic. Polite, efficient and chatty. Just what you'd look for in hospitality. The food was exceptional. 2 of us had lasagna and the other had the chicken burger. All were well presented and decent sized portions. It tasted delicious. I would highly reccomend a visit and food.
