Amazing camp site! Will be returning next year. The person that runs the campsite was so friendly and helpful. Always around the campsite improving things and topping up things like toilet roll and taking the rubbish bins out regularly. As stated on the site you have to ring him to find your pitch. However as we travelled by trains with loads of luggage he met us at the train station and took some of our luggage over for us! Really helpful and friendly. Quiet stay. And not too far from the beach!

Lovely Quiet site, perfectly situated, short walk to sea front and couple of shops.Only used pub near the seafront but very welcoming and dog friendly.Train station next to site we travelled into Barmouth for day £7.50 for 2 adults return, dog free, but choice where to travel to was plenty. The site itself was quiet even though next to train station. The owner was lovely and chatty made very welcome explained what was in area. There is some updates need doing as the owner explained these are being dealt with.Toilets and showers well at first thought they were a bit dated but they are very clean and showers were the best, very hot no timer and well set out with plenty of room and tray for shampoo and such, definitely will be back again.

Great little site. We will 100% return.Local to Fairbourne and an hour to walk over the rail bridge to Barmouth or use one of the little ferry boats.Chap running the site clearly works very hard and is a nice helpful guy but electric power tools and extension cords left in the shower / toilet blocks need sorting as does the ongoing repairs. Probably needs some assistance. Some kind of under cover washing up facilities too would be great, like most other sites. I'm not a fan of washing up dishes in the toilet blocks. All that aside, the showers are ace. Big waterfall shower heads and not a timed button in sight.Like I said, will return. Hopefully toilets are sorted by then.

We had a great time, and the owner was lovely. Nothing was to much trouble. The facilities were clean and tidy. The locations was great with shops and pub within a close walk. We will be 100% rebooting in a couple of weeks. Thanks again Emma & Marley

Whilst the site is well located for the train station (2 minute walk) and Fairbourne and the beach, there were a few issues. The site is fairly well maintained with a few different fields but the toilet block left a lot to be desired. The floor was filthy and the ladies (and the gents as a workshop)was obviously being used as a storage area. Lots of fire extinguishers in there and a huge tank blocking off one of the four toilets. Showers were good and not push button as are most sites. Our biggest complaint however, was that after our first night, we booked three, we went out in our campervan as it was our only transport and when we returned there was a motorhome on our pitch. When we spoke to the owner he said as we hadn’t left our electric cable he thought we had left? He had our number so why didn’t he call us to check?? To say we were disappointed is an understatement! We were relegated to the top field for the last two nights, which was not hard standing as the first pitch had been and ground a little soft. Luckily we didn’t get stuck. Needless to say this has put us off revisiting!

We had a lovely week camping, very friendly campsite owner, clean toilets and showers, beautiful views over the hills, a short walk from the sea. The campsite has a train track running past the back of it, you can hear the train but didn't disturb us. It does make access to Barmouth very easy. Great sighting of shooting stars and the Aurora Borealis during our visit! We also spotted a tawny owl. Beach pony trekking available a short walk away too. Would definitely visit again. Thank you

Great little camp site in a very quiet part of Wales. Has a mixture of fixed and flexible pitches. Been there probably a dozen or more times over the last 25 years. Friendly and helpful owner(s), very dog friendly, fairly basic shower and washing block, power & drinking water, all work fine. Can get a bit damp when it rains for long periods. Main attraction is its a few minutes walk to the superb Faibourne beach, and the adjacent Fairbourne minature railway. There are some good walks nearby as well - along the coast and up the hills behind.

The location was excellent with a nice little shop just 50m over the railway tracks with easy access to the beach and for heading South towards Aberdyfi and North to Barmouth. The guy who runs the site is really nice but the toilet block facilities were awful. See pic. There were electric power tools plugged in, which my little 6 year old picked up and it looked like a building site. He’s obviously running the site alone trying to do all the jobs himself. He should just pay someone to finish the tiling

Lovely location. We arrived late and pitched our tent in darkness. The owner was happy to help us even at that late hour. The following day while we were out, he even went out of his way to fix our hastily assembled tent which was in the process of falling down! Highly recommend.
