We had a Warn and Friendly welcome From Nigel.. The Room was spacious, adequate and Clean.. Maybe required a little redecoration, But for value for money, No Complaints.. Handy for the town, Parking available to the side of the property. Fresh, Clean Bedding, Super soft Brilliant white towels and a Clean Bathroom.. We would stop again without hesitation..

Stayed two nights whilst working in the area. Location is great, twenty minutes from the train station near plenty of amenities. Room was clean and warm, and no noise from the bar area. The bathroom was a bit grim and as an old building there was a lot of plumbing noise and birds roosting outside woke me up at dawn. But the full breakfast was great and the staff very helpful. Please note - they don't take cards, for some reason! Had to use the cash machine down the road.

Everywhere else was booked, so had to go here. It was cheap. So didn't expect too much, but cleanliness is a must in every hotel and this wasn't the case. Look at my pic. The other thing was breakfast. As so many others said. I got told a time for breakfast, but nobody was there at breakfast time. I sat in the dark and waited for someone to turn up. In the end I went to look. Found a chef in a Kitchen and ask if there was nobody there to take my order? He said he's going to have a look. The next thing I knew was the Chef came out with a Welsh breakfast and put it on my table! That was what I would of ordered anyway, but I didn't get a chance to make that choice, it just got served. I have to say it was a very nice breakfast, all was good, but next time actually ask what I want!

DISGUSTING!! DO NOT BOOK, actual poo on the floor in the hotel room, staff gave us talc to put on floor to try disguise the smell, other room had no sheets on bed, dirty sheets on floor, room stinks of urine. Cant even get through as telephone number does not exist!! Booked this for our work lads to stay, we booked 2 rooms they have never been anywhere as bad, I was totally ashamed and embarrassed when they told me. Promptly re booked a different hotel, further away than we wanted but so worth it. This Hotel is a health risk. My advise read all reviews on hotel not just the good ones!!! OMG Wont let you post unless you give it 1 star, it doesn't deserve any!

We booked a group stay at this hotel. Luckily called the day before departure to see if they had towels however the owner bluntly told us they did not have any recollection of ever having spoken to us and they were fully booked (even after repeatedly calling before to ask if they needed a deposit to confirm our booking ! ). He was going to call around to see if he could get us booked somewhere else but of course never returned our calls. I guess someone else was willing to pay more for this horrific place than we did.Avoid at all cost!

I have never seen the rooms here, so cant comment on them or breakfasts. Locals know this as a pub on a friday and saturday night that opens late and has bar and dancing areas... so its noisy. Locals go there from all the other pubs in town for a late night dance and its normally fairly busy Sat night. Staff are great and bouncers soon disperse any trouble. So if you are looking for a boogie after midnight, here you have it!

Decent, humble place. Doesn't shout about itself but the staff are friendly and there's never any trouble. Little bit too empty sometimes though, maybe it's just because it's a big place.

My stay was terrible; the price paid was relatively low however the room was very dated. The pigeons on the window sill made sleep difficult.

Just had a pint in the bar. The place really is in need of refurbishment. Bar staff was excellent.
